i have a 768p sony kdl-32l5000 tv. when i look at some of the specs of the tv online it says

24p True Cinema mode provides a direct connection to 24p video sources, avoiding conversions and allowing users to enjoy films at their intended 24 fps (frames per second) cinematic picture quality when using a 24p-capable output device, such as a Blu-ray Disc™ player or PLAYSTATION®3 entertainment system.

so my question is....should i turn on the option of BD 1080p 24 Hz output??i tried it for a minute or 2...and wasnt sure if i would hurt the ps3, or the tv by doing so.

or would i get a better picture without turning this on?

under the video specs of the tv it says

video signal: 1080/60p(hdmi/component) 1080/60i, 1080/24p(hdmi/component) 720/60p, 480/60p, 480/60i

any help would be appreciated

i also have my ps3 set to automatic for display...the 1080p,1080i,720p, and 480p boxes are all selected.,....

i can buy modern warfare 2, and call of duty world at war....or i can buy red dead redemption....which would be the better deal? better value?

the hd dvd upscales my dvds....and it came with 40-50 hd dvds. i bought it at a garage sale for 40 bucks......hd dvds look as good..or almost as good as blu rays....so now i have some hd movies that i wont have to buy on blu ray.

some of the hd dvds included were zodiac, i am legend, harry potter series, planet earth,bourne trilogy,into the wild, last samurai, 300, the departed, perfect storm. transformers...and many more. i thought it was a steal

should i set my ps3 to 720p, or 1080i? it will be hooked up with an hdmi chord

my old school hd dvd player will be hooked up with the red.blue,green component cables. should i select 720p, or 1080i on the hd dvd player settings?

i want to get the best picture quality possible, so please help. sometimes i think i know what i am at .....but i really dont
