@Carpetfluff: That approach reminds me a lot of MS vs Apple. While I'm sure MS would love it if you bought a Surface, even if you buy something else they'll still happily sell you the software to run on it.
If Sony does end up pricing the disc-less PS5 to match the Xbox Series S, they'd just end shooting themselves in the foot. At best it'd just end up costing them a boatload of money from the "digital is dead" crowd, but for someone like me who actually wants/needs a disc drive (needs because I don't have broadband and so downloading a 500GB file is a near impossibility and wants because I actually like owning the games I buy which you can't do with digital), the idea that I'd be willing to spend $200 for one and nothing else is insulting and frankly really stupid.
@neilwick: Unfortunately, as I already said, I can't find raids. I live too far away to see when they're available and I can't find an active local group anywhere.
I don't know any of the people who play Pokemon Go in my area and most of the ones I've seen are children. It's not acceptable for me to approach them and ask them to "be my friend." Not knowing anyone (and living too far away to see when they're available) already means I can't do raids. Now it looks like they've added another feature (two in fact) that I can't use.
