Seriously, the PlayStation 2 is still doing so well. They came out with the slim versions that have built in online play and also the silver version. But I don't think people will be that worried with backward compatibly, especailly with the PS1 games. There aren't many of those classics, and people would probably want to play their PlayStaiton 2 games on their PS3 and just download the PS1 games from the PlayStation store directly to their PSP. I would prefer having more PS2 backward compatibility...that's why I am getting my PS3 in 2 days....I don't really want this version. But I am still concerned because I think the current PS3 owners will be getting ripped off because they didn't have a choice.
