the annoying thing is

is that we shouldnt have to do all of this stuff to stop it from overheating microsoft should make it not overheat

tut tut microsoft:evil:

Tell me about it. Microsoft better do a lot more research by the time they roll around with their next system. If it plauged with problems like the 360 is, I just might have to reconsider my alternatives.

Services like LIVE and PSN cost companies millions of dollars to operate and maintain. Think of how many content servers, switches, routers and man hours that are necessary to maintain a service that is available 24/7 and you'll see why Microsoft charges $50 a year. To be honest, i'm suprised that Sony is biting the bullet and not charging for their PSN but that's their business model for now. I honestly don't mind paying $50 a year for a unified gaming platform that offers a lot of worthwhile content. Now, on the other side of the fence, Playstation's PSN is not as fruitful as LIVE but it is no slouch either. A totally free online gaming community with demos, trailers, some voice chat functionality, and soon to be Home can't be beat. As for the thread starter, you, as the consumer, have the choice whether or not to pay for a service. If LIVE does not live up to your expectations, then don't give them your money. Plain and simple. I enjoy LIVE and everything it has to offer and at a cost of roughly four dollars a month (or 1 dollar a week; or .14 a day), it is well worth the money.

Here's another tip: Plug your 360 either directly into a wall socket or a UPS. It seems to me that the 360 is sensitive to power surges. Also, a clean power supply has never hurt any expensive electronic investment. I have a UPS and since launch i've had my 360 plugged into my UPS the entire time and I haven't had any major problems. I have, however, experienced the two red rings. I was on a marathon session with Bioshock and into my 4th hour, my 360 crashed and I had to let it cool down. It also didn't help that in California a few weeks ago the temperature reached 100 degrees for 10 consecutive days.

I could have sworn I saw Crackdown on sale some time ago for $39.99. I bought this game when it first came out (not for the Halo 3 beta; that was the icing on the cake) for $60.00 and i've put countless hours into it. Even after you do beat the story mode, there is soo much stuff to do. I must've spent a good two months looking for the agility and hidden orbs and i'm still missing like 5 hidden ones.

Well Jackie doesn't really fit the bill as the typical hero. He sort of reminded me of Tommy from Prey. Come to think of it, multiplayer on both of those games did suck...It's probably got something to do with the hair.

He's nothing more than an amalgamation of polygons and pixels. I'm sorry to break it to you but he's not real.

I've missed one audio diary in the very beginning of the game, Welcome to Rapture, and wanted to know if there was a way to get back to that area of the game?? I've found the bulkhead in the Medical Pavillion that leads to the area but it is locked. Am i screwed?? I honestly don't want to start a new game for one damn diary.

No, it's a good game but once I beat it, I didn't have a compelling reason to play it again. I tried the multiplayer and it wasn't to fun. It's a definite rental.

Yeah, I was told the whole process takes 4 to 6 weeks but it was the wait to get to that point that pissed me off. Oh well, I'm just glad it wasn't my console (**knocks on wood**).
