Bad business moves on many fronts. They essentially ran themselves into the ground.

But, despite that, it is still sad to see people out of work and to see people lose the fortunes they built

'important for the world'

...hyperbole or an overinflated sense of worth/importance?

No I haven't. But, if true, that is certainly a plausible explanation

Also, why are all these deaths happening around Asia?

...something culturally has to be at play

'This is far from the first time a marathon gaming session has ended in tragedy. The AAP reported that another Taiwanese man died in February after a 23-hour gaming jag ended with a heart attack. In 2007, a 30-year-old man collapsed and died in Guangzhou, China, after gaming for three straight days, In 2005, a 28-year-old South Korean man died after a 50-hour gaming session. In 2003, police in Hong Kong cited a six-hour stint playing Diablo II at an Internet café as a contributing factor in a 28-year-old man's death. In 2002, a 24-year-old South Korean man died after 86 uninterrupted hours of gameplay. That same month, a 27-year-old Taiwanese man lasted 32 hours before succumbing to death by exhaustion.'

Do you know how the law works, specifically contract and business law?

Simply placing a warning on something does negate one's responsibility. They are there to try and limit the exposure of a company, but they do not eliminate the exposure.

If this were to happen, Sony would have allowed what the courts would most likely view as sex game to come to market, on something played by children, where sexual predators would have easy access.

...only a fool would not see the potential legal ramifications of such a move
