Arrrrggg!!!!!!!

my boxed intel cpu fan seems to be too low. I can't push the posts into the holes on the motherboard no matter how hard I push. I bent the motherboard until I hear cracking noise! and I stopped

Is this a stupid problem? Has it ever happen before? Help!

THanks folks,

dont listen to these people. It dosent matter if youre PC gets shocked anymore because all the parts are resilant! I was playing my PC through a hardcore thunderstorm and there was a serge of electricity and my PC smelt like burning plastic But you know what? Thats it! No parts failed and im still using it today (it happened a few years ago) I have had static go off on my parts countless times and had no ptoblems what so ever. if you plan on using New/Recently made parts they can take a static discharge like nuthing even happened at all.hofuldig

That's hardcore gaming!!!!

Hi! It's my first time building a rig. I won't let static electricity ruin it!

I don't have the antistatic wrist band.

I've heard that I can just touch the case or something metal.

So I should be in contact with metal all the time while building, should I? I'd probably sit on my case then.

Or I just touch metal just once before working? I don't know. Please suggest!

Man! Maybe building a computer is a little too ambitious for me.

Plz. help

It's basicly like this:

geforce 9800gtx

Core2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz

Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX

2gb (2*1gb) 240-pin DDR2 SDRAM 800

a 600w psu

If anything doesn't work. Please recommend something else plz.

Also, the mobo that ep35 thing there's one @ newegg that cost $89 and another p35which cost $109. I don't know. What's the difference?
