The tampa bay buccaneers traded Steve Young to the 49ers in 1987 for a 2nd and 4th round pick. He was considered a bust there after only 2 years. The players that became from the draft picks were linebacker winston moss and wide receiver bruce hill. Neither played for more than 5 seasons in tampa bay, while steve young went on to break records and be a first ballot Hall of Famer.

Id say tampa bay lost that deal pretty badly.

My 49ers big board

1. Calvin Johnson, WR

2. Gaines Adams, DE

3. Joe Thomas, T

4. Laron Landry, FS

5. Adam Carriker, DE

6. Robert Meachem, WR

7. Amobi Okoye, DT/DE (3-4)

8. Patrick Willis, LB

4 onwards is realistic..carriker would be a nice fit, heard him compared to richard seymour

Stallworth is decent. Hes been in the league for 5 years and played a full 16 game season twice, so health is a concern. Not to mention he has never had a 1000 yard season. But he is playing with brady, so he has no excuse not to do well.

Your list is pretty bad. No offense.

Care to explain why?

Raiders having a good offseason by getting a back up HB and a FB? 'nuff said Dolphins one of the worst? Porter is one of the best LBs in the NFL and he might have gotten a lot of money but that is because of this years FA market.

They got griffith at a steal, 3 years 3.8 mil, when others are getting 6 years 18 mil (ovie mughelli). Rhodes was a good player as well and is a nice backup. I also forgot to mention cutting brooks and walker.

Porter had a bad year last year. 6.5 sacks in 14 games. 2 against the dolphins and daunte culpepper, 2 against the oakland raiders and their horrific oline, and 2 against the bucaneers and their bad oline. The other half sack was against the browns and their, you guessed it, bad oline. He went 10 games without a sack this past season and is 30. And he got 20 million guaranteed.

Trash for Trash deal. Nothing too big. Droughns is a decent backup. They still need a speed type back. I think lorenzo booker would be a good fit from the draft.

Whos having the best and worst offseason this year?

Best

Patriots- Adalius Thomas, Wes Welker

Jets- Thomas Jones

Raiders- Dominic Rhodes, Justin Griffith

Worst

Dolphins- Joey Porter (20 mil guaranteed for a aging player)

Cowboys- Leonard Davis (19 mil guaranteed for a lazy player)

Bills- Langston Walker, who sucked in Oakland, made 10 million guaranteed

Thats mine. Whats yours?

A man cleared of murder after he was spotted in the background of outtake footage of TV comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm has been awarded damages of $320,000. Juan Catalan, 28, spent five months in jail charged with the murder of 16-year-old Martha Puebla until he used outtake footage - showing him at an L.A. Dodgers game in Los Angeles when the crime occurred - to prove his innocence. Catalan's attorney Todd Melnik trawled through hours of footage of a televised game between the Dodgers and the Atlanta Braves that the defendant attended with his six-year-old daughter, before discovering the Larry David-starring comedy was being shot at the stadium on the same day. Catalan could be seen clearly eating a hot dog in a scene that ended up on the cutting room floor. A time code on the footage proved Catalan's whereabouts - 20 miles from the murder scene in San Fernando. Los Angeles City Council has agreed to pay $320,000 to Catalan.

This makes no sense. Scheffler was doing great with cutler. So they signed a TE who is primarily a blocker for 12 million dollars guaranteed? They have bigger needs than a backup TE. Scheffler was going to be good, 18 catches and 4 TD's in 5 starts is pretty good for a rookie TE. This move puzzles me
