@luqmanr I wasn't aware they stated it will support 1080p. It's native resolution is 720p though, same as current generation consoles, which I remember them saying at E3 and everyone made a big deal about it.
Either way my prediction stands, I'm not too hung up on the specifics of how HD it is really, as long as it has HDMI ports it will be fine...but, again it won't be the high end graphics machine that the new MS and Sony consoles will be, so it's future will be heavily influenced by its gimmicky "tablet controller" just like the Wii. You will have to agree with me on that.
@luqmanr You are kind of right, the Xbox and PS3 do scale up the max resolution to 1080p, but that means if the WiiU doesn't support 1080p it won't do the rescaling to 1920 X 1080 and thus won't look as good as it could on current gen TVs. Ha.
@joujou264 I'm not a fanboy, I play everything and love games of all parties...I'm bipartisan when it comes to gaming. I was just making an accurate depiction of what to expect from the big N for the next few years is all.
@Boochie You consider 720p HD? I feel sorry for you bro. I didn't say I wasn't going to get a WiiU, I always have all the consoles and play everything I can.
Prediction: Nintendo will release the WiiU with an bunch of underwhelming games and one must have Mario title. A year will go by with a few great titles released, then the new Xbox and Playstation will release with higher specs, HD SUPPORT and big new games that will be haphazardly ported to WiiU. Then WiiU will hit its stride and release a ton of great games, mostly pre-existing Nintendo franchises, get very popular and make truckloads of cash then another year after that it will be all 3rd party kids games and gimiky titles and sales will stop cold.
