to keep from getting rrod after they have been repaired set the xbox360 on fans an blow air up through the vents on both sides you can also keep the power supply cool by putting a little fan on one side at the vent holes an blow air through it this would problemly help a new xbox360 the air blowing out the back is still to warm my case on my xbox360 is cold to the touchskyskeek
Heat is not the only main cause of RROD. Even though the majority is heat realated i.e. Soldering coming loose on the bored or melting due to heat, but also it can be for any number of reasons such as dvd drive breaking.

So my dumbass bro knocks the console over while its on yesterday. worked fine until i turn it on this morning. got RROD and when i was looking at the power brick i noticed that it turns green like normal then switches to orange and about a second later i get RROD. it sounds like the console is trying to start up then the power grid light switches to orange and get RROD
