@lordghoulsby: Looks like they did an early access review where it's a 6. I wish they'd hurry up and even just give an updated "Review in Progress". The rest of the world is raving about it and they probably have Phil Owens reviewing it and he'll give it a 3 just to be different since he seems to hate absolutely everything.
@cboye18: AI is also incredibly difficult to do. You have to strike a balance between an AI that can be beaten by a human player while still posing a [fair] challenge. Deep AI is also incredibly memory intensive, so it's all about striking a balance between fun and technical limitations. You can easily design an AI now that would whip a human player every single time.
@rodoxthedark: It was actually the microtransactions on AAA games that did them in. Battlefront 2 cost Disney money and there is one thing you never do -- cost the House of Mouse money. It was only by the grace of a contract that EA was even allowed to publish/finish Jedi: Fallen Order.
@jergernice1: This. I shop online because we're in the middle of a pandemic and I have at-risk people in my household and I don't want to deal with cart vultures who will walk up to my cart and snatch stuff out of it. LOL!
@Vaildez: As a primarily PC Gamer who gets the PS for exclusives and to play games with my wife, the scalper prices would be better put toward building a medium to medium-high end gaming PC that could outperform both the new generation consoles in many regards.
The reason the scalpers are even doing it is that they know there are thousands of kids out there who if they don't get the PS5 on Christmas Morning, there is going to be epic hell to pay. Even during a severe recession and a pandemic.
