[QUOTE="DGFreak"]The plants are never anti-aliased in-game unless you get a mod for it. DGFreak

Oh! never heard before, I thought Crysis is a perfect benchmark.......... :(

This was actually done for performance. On today's hardware, if every single plant was anti-aliased, the game would screech to a grinding halt. I just find it strange that it wasn't made an option. Maybe Crytek assumed that people will have forgotten about the game by the time that using such an option would be feasible.

Oh!, i noticed the vegetation in crysis were not polished & smooth as the other objects in the game, hmmmm.....so this is the reason......

If in 5 years I wont be able to buy a mouse anymore, I better start stocking up on them now. If they dont sell them and im forced to use a touchscreen... I will break my computer with a sledgehammer, honest to god, allah, jewish god and whoever else cares.Helbrec

Hey don worry man, computer is for the people.........And if situations like those comes up, maybe we'll start an OpenHardware initiative like OpenSoftware

I can't believe this kind of crap gets as much publicity as it does. This isn't an authoritative analysis - it's pure speculation by someone who goes by the title of a "computer industry expert". So interaction with gaming and mobile devices is changing - what does that have to do with general PC keyboard and mouse interfaces? The mouse may be extinct one day, but certainly not in the next 5 years. Standards have to be created, changed, operating systems have to be redesigned - even legacy applications such as partition tools would need modification. What about games that rely on mouse input (namely, all of them) that have been released in the past 5 years? Are we just going to forget about them..?

This is what happens when you get analysts looking at "trends" and "sales" without the faintest idea about the underlying complexity of the industry.

chemeleon_789

Well said man, i think the situation should be looked at all angles, not just gaming. Maybe in gaming we'll have specialised input devices in order to have sheer fun. But in everyday computing the mouse is here to stay till atleast 2012.

Despite its bugs S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is an awesome FPS/Role-Playing game. But it requires a lot & lot & lot of patience to play........Even at the easiest setting it is the most difficult game i've ever played but still like it a lot due its rich atmospheric gameplay........
