I also want to mention something about the "auto-aim" in almost all the popular FPSs these days. COD, Halo, Killzone, all has a bit of auto aim. They do it because the controller can not give the precision a mouse does. On the other hand, there is the analog "movement" stick, which beats a keyboard. A mouse certainly gives pinpoint accuracy, which increases potential for skilled headshots. But analog movement also helps you aim too.
