@ken4062 Xbox has always been a forceful competitor in USA. But here in europe, Sony has the advantage, as well as in japan. Has always been that way. Problem is, in this world, USA being the most important market, whatever trends there rules the sales figures...
@TechGoblin Yeah...... Have you noticed that XBONE is like Ps4, but LESS powerful? Have you noticed that the only thing really next-gen of the XBONE is stupid-ass kinect.... and of course, online check in and used games restrictions.... Do you even read?
This borrows a lot from the great late "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" of Tobe Hooper. That film is a masterpiece of the horror genre, I'm really hoping this turns out as good as it seems.
@BenoftheDead @pellungrobe On the exclusives I am really bumped down by both consoles, and it seems I am the only one.
Car games: Forza and Drive Club. Pretty good both, I just don't mind driving games.
Shooters: same old shit on both consoles: titanfall graphics are sharp but nothing really cutting edge about it, same thing for killzone.
Ryse looks like a Quick-Time-Events orgy. Dead Rising 3 has clearly lost all the mindless humor that the series had.
Knack on ps4 doesn't look bad, but not particularly good either. Infamous second son, however, is really promising, if they fix the somewhat lackluster combat.
All in all, I think that the best games will be multi-platform: Watchdogs, Witcher 3, FFXV and the likes.
Almost 15 years ago, I purchased a game for my Ps1. It was called "silent hill". The game is really, really old now. But now and then, when I want some really good scares, I pop the disc in and play. I have sold many games on the used market, but never even thought about selling Silent Hill. Because it's a damn good game, timeless masterwork.
Dear BleahsWhatever, please, develop a game that has a similar kind of value. Then, you can rest assure I won't resell it. Till then stick a lancer up your ass and have a nice day.
@BenoftheDead I am a bit of a "Bear". I don't play multiplayer games. I don't use internet, except from those rare situations in which I have to buy a game from an online service. I think that there are a lot of gamers like me who simply like to pay for a damn disc, sit on the couch and relax a bit, minding their own business. I don't like the idea of my xbox watching me, or controlling my ownership of used games. I don't like to have to check online, so that M$ can be happy and can see what the F* I am doing.
Yeah, I'm a bit of a grumpy character, but then again, I guess I'm not alone
@philMcCrevis If you read the review and then play the game is even worse: I actually went and tried to find the flaws that Tom McShit highlighted and I could find only 1!
That is, in certain stealth situations, your companions make noises and the enemies do not hear them. BIG DEAL. cut 2 points!
Seriously, the game is a class act. Gameplay is balanced, original under certain aspects, tense and fun.
Story is beyond excellent. The two main characters are worth of a novel. The world is rich and colorful. The sense of dread never fully disappears.
Without a doubt one of the 5 best games on ps3, if not the best.
