Other than New Vegas this is my first foray into Fallout. I loved New Vegas and constantly heard about how lame it was compared to Bethesda's Fallout. Boy were they right. Right from the beginning I feel more connected to my character because the customization is unbelievable. I finally was able to fairly accurately put myself into the game. I feel tied to the actions of this character more than ever. Where Skyrim was a medieval setting that held my attention for countless hours on multiple platforms; Fallout 4 has the same hold. I have yet to experience any issues with graphics or noticeable framerate issues. I havent seen any glitches personally but have seen videos of some pretty funny ones online. I dont mind these though, I see people all the time complaining about glitches then applauding GTA V glitches in the next breath. Overall I look at the value of the entertainment and I feel safe to say I have paid <$1.00 per hour I will play. Good bargain if you ask me.

I'm sorry. I know this issue has probably gone around so many times. But I'm late to the party and I have to vent to some people that will understand.

I just bought an xbox one. I bought it to surprise my wife, who loves the Halo series. We don't do the online subscription thing for a number of reasons, mostly because we just don't play enough to make it worth it, and my wife and I like to play campaigns together. She doesn't like the other multiplayer options. Halo 5 came out and she longingly gazed at the halo 5 commercials. So being a good husband I went out and bought a used one for a great price. Also bought halo 5 for a great price used. And of course I bought a second controller......

Big surprise for my wife and we were so disappointed when we couldn't get co-op working. What on earth?

Yes I didn't google if halo had split screen multiplayer before I bought it - why would I ? Every game before.... Good grief.

Well, probably not a total loss I thought. There will be other games that are split screen co-op. So trying to make the best of a really crappy situation, I looked for some other games.....

wut.

Apparently these big fancy machines can't handle two players? My Atari 800XL handled 2 players. My NES and every system since can handle it. What on earth is going on? Did game developers forget that people have siblings that game together? Did they forget about husbands and wives? Friends? ON WHAT PLANET do they expect a household to own one system, and multiple copies of a game PER PERSON?

Who sat there at the board room table of 343 and thought "Yep, one player sounds good." That person needs to be fired.

And what about the other games? Why are there not more games we can play together? At least the Wii has multiplayer. Maybe I should cut my losses , sell the stupid xbox one and dust off the Wii u so I can play some games with my family. Good grief. I'm so disappointed. (And I get that it's just a game and it's not worth getting super upset over. To my family I'm looking for the bright side of things, but like I mentioned, I jest need to rant and let off some steam to so people who understand)

/End rant.

Thanks for listening.

Yes previous consoles were able to handle split screen. But with this current generation of consoles they are more PC like than ever. Just like you dont see split screen PC games; I am afraid more and more games will move away from split screen. If I am not mistaken I believe the solo screen has to do with the graphics card to pump out the best resolution. Personally I dont mind that much as I play solo or online 99% of the time anyway.

Despite all the glitches and problems with MP, I for one am still pleased with my purchase of MCC. The new graphics and textures make it feel like a new game and that allows me to overlook the problems with SP. MP on the other hand hasnt worked well for me so I dont even try.
