So much of this systems wars forum is made up of QUANTITY statistics... Who has most, sold most, etc...

How many of you are share holders in Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo...? Probably not many. So why do you all care so much about "volume of"...?

Gamers need to make judgements based on QUALITY and PRICE - FULL STOP.

- Quality, Reliability and Features of Hardware

- Quality, Reliability and Features of Software

- Price of Hardware (Initial investment and ongoing costs)

- Price of Software

PC had more second rate games and infinitely more absolutely garbage games... Yay!

Xbox360 had more hw failures then Chinese import bok-choi brand video cards...

PS3 sold less units and had low quality multi-plat ports...

Honestly... They ALL SUCK!!!!

The only question you have to ask is...

My "PCStation 360 3" ownz, rules, rocks, is wicked, etc forever no returns....Because I counted the number of games that migh have existed, divided by the games never played, times by the ratio square root of Gamespot scores.

Would it be logical and fair to deduct the first 12-months of XBox Sales and just compare the years the PS3/Xbox360 have been head-to-head...?

I dont think PS3 has been a failure or game over... It's not a Sega story... Just PS3 targetted the wrong market in the absolute worse economic climate. Its no wonder they sacked Head of Sony Entertainment (No matter how good PS1/PS2 was). 15-25 y/o didnt want to fork over $600-$1000 (Depending on your region) for a gaming system... And at launch Blue Rays were few and $40 a piece. And GFC hit and that put even more pressure on "Fine Goods". Xbox was better value proposition. I am somewhat surprised that people put up with RROD though.

it doesn't even really matter, who cares who wins, be grateful you have a console and games to play on it, a lot of people don't even have that.

Peeps are fooling themselves if they think PS3 with end up with MORE LIFE-TIME sales then Xbox360... It would take something absolutely incredible.

And before Sony can pull the rabbit, XBox720 will be on the shelves.

Sony may push more per month over the next couple years (MAYBE).... But lifetime sales no chance... The numbers speak for themselves.

Unless... Like the XBOX, the Xbox 360 simply vanishes (ergo sales stop-dead) Sony may just keep selling PS3z for the next 10yr and make up the gap.

Regardless, from a "This Gen" perspective XBox is more popular then PS3.

Yea Sony made a play with PS3 to win the Next-Gen Video market NOT gaming market... Strange decision. Perhaps their figures on paper justified it. Time will tell.

I personally LOVE BluRay. With a big 1080p TV and decent surround sound... OMG the opening scene to The Watchmen is fantastic.

DVDs were very expensive on release also, but now are very cheap. BluRay will be very cheap before too long. It's a pretty normal technology cycle.

I think we just have to resign to the fact that its not likely to be as good as the first.

BioShock was special because of its unique setting and concept... No-way can it have the same effect twice.

I'm sure it will be a great game though, with improvements aplenty... It's a day 1 buy for me.
