Um ok and they just say there are "reports" (meaning sony fanboys blathering on in forums like they are in this thread) and "videos" (meaning the faked youtube videos).  I think that speaks volumes for the lack or investigative journalism on that website.

I don't believe the failure rate is high, but it exist to be concern.

I believe the Elite could be in the same situation since they are using the same hardware.

I'm saying the video poster put something out there that should alarm 360 users, not to go in to speculation if the video is fake. I learn my lesson when I bought my PS2 at launch.

Ah but they're inheritely linked.  Why be concerned if you believe it to be fake? 99% of the consensus from people who you know.....think and stuff.... believe this to be fake.  I'd bet one of my limbs it's fake.  Does that mean the Elite is the super duper awesome system and will never break down? Of course not.  Odds are it'll still be on par with current 360 quality (prolly better then the initial launch units though.)

However it's more concerning to me there are idiots in this world who have nothing better to do then fake console video's cuz they are just THAT pathetic.

Well the game I don't believe will sell THAT well.  It may get a million sales over it's lifetime though.  Problem is it's too "hardcore" of a game to be massively popular.  People w/o skills get frustrated.

But on topic, yea I can imagine PS3 getting a port of NG2 after Itagaki's team finishes it on 360 (and Hayashi's team will do the PS3 port  w/ Itagaki's base material from the 360 version after)

i would say xbox360 if you want a year fun
