@deadline: Ghost of Sparta is really good, on par with the main trilogy ones even. Ascension on the other hand is very weak and i don't think it had anything to do with franchise fadigue as stated in the video, it is (in my opinion) very uninspired in all fronts except for the boss fights...
Very well done documentary gamespot, you kinda redeemed yourselves a bit from that horrible opinion piece earlier that didn't contributed to anything positive to be honest.
I recommend everyone to NOT watch any review, LISTEN to it or read it instead, this is the type of game better experienced fresh without any spoilers and i'm seeing many complaints about reviews spoiling too much of it.
I pre-ordered this bad boy and i can't wait to play it, this is going to be a long week.
Hmm RE is a good example of a remake that changed a few gameplay mechanics and camera angles although the core mechanics of the original still there but then we have Shadow of the Colossus that remained 100% faithful to the original so i don't think that's a rule that define what a remake is.
In my mind if a game is build from the ground up with new assets and retain level design, story and characters of the original i consider a remake, otherwise its a reboot.
In this case if i have to guess i think Activision opted for the word Remaster because it's more marketable.
But then again its not complete nonsense a remake be considered a remaster as well (not the other way around though) but i wish these terms were better defined to avoid confusion.
That's exactly what i was expecting, i'm going to triple dip and i don't give a damn about what anyone thinks, its just pure fierce love for this series and what the first game represents, to me it is a masterpiece that i never get tired of it, plus dedicated servers this time.
Hell...yes.
Demon Souls next FROM, 60fps and dedicated servers its all i need, i'll return the love and buy it twice and gift to someone worth of it.
