my issue with this game is that i bought at launch for 60 bucks, and paid the 15 monthly fee. then the game eventually went f2p and they rolled back some of the content that used to be unlocked for me or put it behind a paywall. seems like they did nothing to grandfather in the launch supporters. Felt like a scummy move and haven't been back since.

@mrbojangles25: since i needed a game to fill the void till cod and outer worlds, i did the exact same thing with uplay+. prior, I played the beta which I thought movement, especially driving, was horrid. But I was surprised how much that tightened up with the final release. I read a bunch of reviews trashing pretty much every aspect of the game but when i started actually playing it, all the issues i read about aren't really bothering me. im pretty sure all items that can be bought with real money can be earned with in game currency. If you put it on a difficult setting and disable all the hand-holding ui elements, which they make easy to turn off, the game feels challenging and rewarding. im playing solo and having fun, but with friends, it would be much better. but that's not to say there's no enjoyable experience for solo players. and all this talk about how youre supposed to be a lone wolf ... i dont feel like im supposed to be alone. i flew in with a crew, and have found some survivors. seeing other players in the hub doesnt bother me since that's the only place i see them. the cutscenes aren't amazing (facial expressions are a bit lackluster), but they do add context to the story so it's ok. Id just say for anyone basing their opinion solely on the reviews theyre reading, you might be surprised when you actually play it.

when you do these kinds of videos, can you also put a transcription or write an article with the information as well. id rather be able to read and skim through than watch. just one member's opinion.

just watched the new video, it looks awesome! just a side note ... the first shot we see is a female character climbing into a tub. an NPC says "she's ready." so regardless of whether it's actually "labeled" male or female, that's what your character is referred to as regardless... so isn't this entire conversation moot?

@mynameisjake16: i also want to point out that the fact that i want to be referred to as a male does not mean my opinion is more important and that others should be forced to as well. i just want to be called a male in the same sense that others do not. both are valid.

@zmanbarzel: another commentor named Slayer70 - said this...

What if someone wants to be a male or a female? You can’t. That’s less inclusive.

-this is kind of the point im getting at. as an rpg, i want to play as a male. i want dialogue choices to refer to me with male pronouns. i think if "they" was used as a replacement, it would sound weird to me and take out some of the immersion. if this game, or any other truly wanted inclusivity, they would include male/female/any pronoun people want, and the dialogue would reflect what you choose as your character. but everyone wants something different, so it seems impossible to achieve. I'm just playing devil's advocate. regardless of what happens, this is a day one purchase for me. it looks incredible.

i don't care one way or another about dropping binary male female options. to each their own. Im just curious, won't your main character still be referred to as a he or she when npcs talk about you? it seems like a potential chain reaction where the devs might have to re-do a bunch of dialogue options from npcs that refer to the main character as a he or she. my main worry is if it gets to that point ... could it delay the release?

still interested to play. However, I don't know if it's this way just for the prologue, but combat (or basically all movement) looks really sluggish and the flying incredibly slow... like 5 MPH slow. The characters are still growing on me, except the silver plates thor seems to have stolen from his grandma.
