@shadowchronicle I get that users wanted the dislike button removed. Personally, I'm glad it's not there anymore. But going so far as to completely revamp the whole commenting system is unnecessary. And getting back the Now Playing list shouldn't be hard. It was there in the first place and suddenly removed.

And a "Like" button, really? Really? What is this, Facebook?

Oh and please don't take it as though I'm venting out on you. Just simply commenting on what I see. (:

I'm REALLY wondering if there really is a need to change the comment system. It was simple and it worked. Why not focus your resources on other problems or features that users have been asking for? Like blogging problems, or bringing back the Now Playing list for example.

If I read the article right, honestly, it feels like a hassle to follow a conversation just so you know there are replies. The @username PM notification was enough.

While I was annoyed at old comments disappearing at first, I understand it'll return eventually. That's not my issue. My issue is WHY this change was implemented. WHO asked for this in the first place? Did a huge number of GS users complain about the old commenting system being all whacked?

It would be great if users can choose to switch back to the old commenting system. Not that it'll ever happen of course. But it would be nice.

I'm glad my notebook is Windows Vista capable. Just have to wait till the bugs all work out, and it's worth it to upgrade.
