TC seem to forget that just because a game is rated M/18 doesnt mean thats basicly its audience. Use the CallofDuty franchise as an example

megaspiderweb09
17+ is suppose to be the audience. I know that doesn't always happen though.

I like it. They are using the current social outrage about violence in video games in a satirical, humorous, and spiteful way.Saul_Tigh
I disagree. Politicians can do anything they want to without the publics consent now-a-days. In America at least. This is like spitting in a politicians face. No reason to antagonize.

Here are some screen grabs from my 1st game. I'm liking the game a lot, from the videos it looked really boring. But the demo has changed my mind on the game. The graphics are really, good but I dont know about them being the best on the 360.

If that's how the final game looks, Gears 3 will murder it(on 360).

I don't know...those screens look very detailed and crisp.

It's a commercial... get over it.

It is supposed to be funny and make you interested about the game, they just took a different approach.

Why does everyone say "Get over it." I'm not losing sleep over this. I just put my opinion on a forum to see if I was the only one. This phrase is over used.

It's about a generational gap, not about age or a mom's concern.

Baranga
The commercial litterally says "You mom is going to hate this." How is it not about your moms concern?????

It's geared towards kids. This is the commercial I'm talking about: http://www.youtube.com/user/deadspace?v=nKkPFDEiC6Q&feature=pyv&ad=7700413771&kw=dead%20space%202

It's rated M so anyone who can buy it is at the very least a Senior in high school and thier mom doesn't worry about the games they are playing. The rest of the 90% of the buyers are out of the moms house.

Really though....for most of the ppl who are buying M rated games, love their moms.....and arent' worried about what game will offend her.

The only ppl who would think that commercial was "cool" is the young kids who really want to offend their moms.

Or am I the only one who loves their mom and thinks this commercial is a little dum.

[QUOTE="monkey_muffin"]I didn't know that. Anyway, again.......that doesn't mean not making a multiplatform game should make a company taken any less serious than another.Teufelhuhn

It does if you're talking about engine licensing. Companies spend millions and commit a significant percentage of their royalties to license an engine, and if it hasn't yet shipped a game on consoles then most aren't going to bother. People knock Unreal for not being as hip and cool as Cryengine or for not having as many cool graphics buzzwords to throw around, but in reality it has years of development and experience behind it. And that's really the whole point of licensing an engine: to get a stable toolset that's already had all of the bugs worked out. Anybody can implement some cool new graphical geatures...but wrapping it up in a stable toolset takes years and lots of experience.

All I'm saying is ppl should give them a chance. Let the game come out first.
