I would like to find an ol rpg for pc, maybe between 1997-2002, about a mage that lost his magic, and his wife-girlfriend was pregnant. He needed to get out of that place to find some medicine for his dragon, but he couldnt because it was always raining. And, it was rainning because the lighthouse was shut off... and it continues.

Do you know of what game am I talking about?

Both are great games, and I wont compare them, but, if I would have to choose, it would be definitely Chrono Cross. It´s a very, very beautiful game, and the difficulty is closer to FFVIII than FFIX (harder).
