I wouldn't pay $100 for a Wii U that came with every game available so far for it. What a waste of a console generation for Nintendo. When the Wii U was announced I told my buddy that it would not sell well at all. He replied, "What makes you so sure." Well, lets look at who bought the Wii, Nintendo fanboys and the so-called casual gamers. The Wii was a gimmick that drew a lot of interest but failed to hold most owners attention. Which resulted in a good majority of Wii's collecting dust instead of being played. Now, here comes the Wii U with yet another gimmick from Nintendo. Who is going to buy it? Nintendo fanboys and that is it. Casual gamers already have a Wii they don't play. Why would they buy a Wii U. See, that is the trouble with making a console for people who consider gaming a novelty instead of a hobby. So take the Wii sales and subtract the casual gamers and you get 3.61 million Nintendo fanboys. So basically, Nintendo screwed themselves for the long term to make a huge impact in the short term. They should leave the console market and focus on games. I would love to see Mario and Zelda on PS4.

If Kinect was a failure on the 360, then why would MS make it such a foundation for 1? Boggles my mind. I blame all the morons who bought into the Wii's bullshit motion controls and made that console such a success that Sony and MS felt the need to copy it. The Wii was the highest selling console of the last generation but it was also the least played. MS and Sony sold way more games than the Wii and still decided to jump on the motion control bandwagon. And what did it accomplish. A whole lot of unplayable, boring games. FYI - I played Twilight Princess and Mario Galaxy and about every ten minutes or so I would think to myself, "I wish I had a traditional controller."

Microsoft did the right thing even if they were forced into it. RIP James Gandolfini :(

Finally a developer that gets it. Multiplayer doesn't have to be shoehorned in to every game. It is a waste of time, money, and effort for 90% of games.

Why no mention of The Order: 1886? That was the game that got me most excited for PS4.

I think everyone should save their outrage for after they experience the game for themselves. Calling it a masterpiece because several gaming sites gave it a 10 is ridiculous. No game is a 10. Not GTA 4, not MGS 4, and certainly not Super Mario Galaxy 2. All that matters is that every reviewer, including Tom McShea, enjoyed the game and found it to be a worth while experience. The purpose of a review is to let the consumer know whether a product is worth their money, and Tom did just that. So really, does Tom deserve all this hate because he said the game was great(8) and not perfect(10)? Sounds retarded doesn't it.

@Manifest_78 @mikmck2006 I have no problem with that Manifest_78. It is your right as a consumer to purchase any product you find value in. I am sure Forza 5 will be awesome and I hope you have many good times with your family while playing. I am what you might call a budget gamer, and used games have allowed me to enjoy many more games than my finances would have otherwise allowed. Therefore, the value of Xbox One for me is extremely low as it doesn't currently meet my gaming needs.

@quigonzel @kmo4040 It is amazing people don't realize how beneficial used games are to the industry. I am glad you explained it and saved me the trouble. People assume a used game sale equals a lost new game sale. When in alot of situations the person buying the used game was never going to buy it new.

I don't care how you rationalize the decisions Microsoft made, the Xbox One is not consumer friendly. No product should have restrictions on how you enjoy it unless it is dangerous or harmful to your health. Americans like freedom of choice. If I want to take a game I paid $60 for to my friends house to play it then I should be able to without the hassle of porting my Xbox Live ID. If I want to go in half on a game to make it more affordable then I should be able to do it. If I want to lend it out then I should be able to do it. It is called ownership. Microsoft is a company that depends on customers, not the other way around. Consumers have all the power. It is time we exercise that power. If you like the Xbox One and the direction it is going then by all means fork over your hard earned money and enjoy your digital slavery. I, however, will not support any company that spits in the face of its loyal customers by stripping them of their consumer rights. Especially a company whose financial foundation is built on stolen ideas. A company that tries to create a monopoly every chance it gets so it can control every aspect of a market. This is consumer treason and I will not support it. And please don't justify this behavior by saying PC games already follow this model. PC games are easily pirated and they require very little knowledge to crack therefore they need more restrictions. Console games can't be pirated by your average gamer. It can be done but it requires extensive knowledge and you run the risk of ruining your console by jail breaking in order to play the games. So they aren't the same situation. The videogame industry as a whole has been pushing the limits of what a consumer will tolerate and they have yet to reach the breaking point. People bitch and complain while handing over their money for something they don't feel good about purchasing. Don't buy a product that comes with strings attached. Leave it on the shelf. These companies will notice because they have built a model that doesn't tolerate failure. They have guilted you for poor sales that are in the millions claiming high production cost. It isn't the consumers problem how much a product cost to make. The companies have the responsibilty to operate within the financial boundaries that create maximum profit. Aluminum used to be worth more than gold at one time because the process to extract it from the soil was very expensive and time consuming. Then someone developed a process that did it cheaply and quickly, now it is used in everything. That is what companies are supposed to do. Develop new processes to cut cost and maximize profits. Yet the game industry gives us sob stories how they can't survive unless they bleed the customer. Don't believe it. The basic foundation of capitalism dictates that the strong companies will survive and the weak ones will disappear. And what makes a company strong? Fullfilling the needs of its customers with products they want and not with products that are designed to keep the revenue stream going. The American car industry almost collapsed because they designed failure into their cars to keep the revenue stream going. Along came the Japanese and offered the public longlasting reliable cars and they quickly took over the market. This happened to the game industry in the 80's and along came Nintendo to save the day. And Nintendo is still consumer friendly. They don't offer products I enjoy but at least they know how to treat their customers.
