Glad the gaming community didn’t fall for the overblown manufactured “controversy“ of Rowling and enjoyed Hogwarts. I have not purchased yet but plan to soon. Interesting list, but some good games listed IMO.
@walbo: Oh I am going to play it - Thanks Gamepass - wanted to see if this was somehow real - all cut scenes: HALO INFINITE All Cutscenes Full Movie (4K 60FPS) - YouTube and people are saying 3 hours if you go start to finish in the story straight without side padding. Cut scenes are 3 hours 30 minutes roughly. Hearing now the Voice acting is horrible - I do not care much as Gamepass gives me the game and still looking forward to seeing it for myself.
The video you watched is not accurate. Much more gameplay than cutscenes. Enjoy the game. I am guessing you will really like it. There is a reason for the high reviews.
@CJamesD: Well suppose that's the end of ever getting a decent Halo then if people are so easily satisfied.
Did you ever think that maybe people like different things? As you have seen both media and users are giving this game very good reviews. They are not making it up. But not all games are for all games. There are many high rated games that I find terrible as well, and poorly reviewed games that I loved.
@skippert: Everyone likes different things, but I am with @CJamesD on this one. Best Halo to date. I did not find it repetitive, but I would do side missions, and then go to story and then back again. Keeps things fresh. But instead of rebutting all your negatives, I can truly say just take what you said and change to the exact opposite, and that is how I see the game. Truly a masterpiece.
I've played it a few hours now. It's good at what it does. It's not funny and the story is a little trite; there's very little emotional connection to anything. The antagonists are beyond cliche - why not hire a writer to write a villain that's not something a 2nd grader would write based on a Saturday morning cartoon? A character like Handsome Jack who would make fun of Master's Chief's dour demeanor?
But the shooting is fun, and that's what counts.
I don't want to give any spoilers, but the emotional connection will come as you play on. Especially if you played the other games, and understand what happened to Cortana.
So happy to play this on a series X. Halo is back and 343i have come up big. They have proven they get it and can deliver.
No doubt. Fantastic game. May be my favorite thus far. However, the first one has fond memories for me as I bought the Xbox (first one) on day one. The only thing I was confused about was the after credit scene. Guessing it may have to do with sequel that I am sure is coming, and I will be picking up on release day.
