If you like puzzles, deep personal stories or... colouring in? The boss encounters feel almost undertale-esque in their mania & music alignment.

Bucket brush should be unlocked by default though. So many messy hand-painted scenes early on!

Possibly controversial opinion: This is one of the best games ever.

I've been replaying it after the final cut release and... it's just so staggering of a creation. I'm glad I got to play it in my lifetime.

@fraga500: hmmm, i think about 10hr. I was being quite completionist (all story stuff, not collectibles)

@mcwingstar: Finished last night. It was, indeed, "my thing".

I haven't recently seen anything that looks as extremely "my thing" than this.

I am really enjoying this right now. Beautiful art, platforming and boat-customising.

Only knock I'd make against it is the progression ends up being more linear and/or bottle-necked than initially seems to be the case; I am often *hunting* for the next "step" that opens up the next mineral tier or upgrade.

I have a nasty good PC, so none of this struck me, hence its high spot on my personal list. I imagine janky frame rate would really hurt that game.

That being said, I think graphical quality is far from the most important factor in its quality. It's so creative, weird and creepy in its world and aesthetics. It's also really fun to play!

This is such a good list, what this year lacked in Mega AAA, it made up for in weird & amazing stuff. I loved this year.

Personal picks are, in descending order: Outer Wilds, Control, Sekiro, Disco Elysium, RE2.

Fire Emblem, APEX and Outer Worlds were ridiculously competent, but failed to stun me.

Haven't finished Death Stranding (but liking it a lot) and haven't played Plague Tale.
