The PS3 version looks graphically better, has less loading times, and is overall the better game technically. But, you can't compare it to the 360 fairly.
Bethesda was working on this game since 2000 and then it finally came out in 2006, they had worked so hard, missed a holiday season, and just wanted to release it. It was a beautiful game on the 360, but had its issues with loading times. Had they had more time, they would have SURELY reduced loading times on the 360 and improved the graphics.
Now with the PS3 version, Bethesda doesn't has to do that much work. Now, they have the plot, quests, characters, THEIR WHOLE WORLD already made. Now all they had to do was make the exact same game they've been working with for 6 years. Here, they have ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD to polish the graphics, that's really the only thing that had to focus on. With the 360 version, you had to make sure EVERYTHING was right including graphics. They couldn't focus on graphics as much as they could on the 360.
So when Sony fanboys try to brag about how Oblivion is better on the PS3, they have to realize Bethesda has had TIME to improve the graphics on the PS3, they took full advantage of it because everything was already done. Like they said, the 360 version can be fixed with an update, so really they're both the same if you ask me, 360 isn't better nor the PS3.
RyuHayabusaX
remember when gamespot did that compirason between ps3 and 360 so tell me was that fair??? the port games were built for the 360 yet some "lemmings" overlooked that and bashed how "bad" the ps3 was....hypocrites....
