At this rate both Dying Light AND Dying Light 2 will have been released before Dead Island 2. Pretty hilarious if you look at the history of the 2 games.

The hand crank doesn't power the device, but it is used for "games" that simulate that, such as "Radio charger simulator", "Torch charger simulator" and my favourite "Weird yellow device charger simulator". Just crank that crank and wave goodbye to those braincells. Wheee!

I think they've got a hit on their hands. It matches the one they got on their head to even market this.

And the "hey you get free games, for a few months" line implies it's also a games-as-a-service device too, oh dear.

Mad Max got a 6 from Gamespot too, as did Just Cause 4 and they were both good fun so I'm sure Rage 2 is of a similar style.

I feel like the 6s are more an indication of disappointment from wanting/expecting more, which is fair enough. There's plenty of wasted potential and dumbing down in their games, I think we all hoped the "id" influence would fix that. Sadly not it would seem. And I'm sure the Bethesda influence will nail it's coffin shut with crummy DLC too.

A lot of people call Instagram an addiction too, but I notice he's fine with that (and getting Instagram to steal someone else's username too without even asking them) You'd expect better etiquette from a prince.

Times like this I feel Gamespot regret such a stupid scoring scale. D2 is clearly an improvement on D1, but more of an 8.5 than a 9, but as they gave D1 an 8 they're backed into a corner somewhat...

And for those of you like me who like using a controller for silky smooth analogue movement, I'd recommend the Tobii eye tracker for this game - I bought it just for D2 and it's great. You simply "look" at the enemy you want to aim at and press aim and it snaps over like a slightly wonky aimbot. It all feels very natural, and takes away the biggest problem with a controller - slow/inaccurate aiming. Not to forget the "look at the cover you want to run to" option too. Fun tech.

The game drops the "Of War" from its title because it's "a cleaner look for the brand."

I look forward to "G6" then and it's sequel "7" followed up by the 8th instalment in the franchise which will simply be called "the sequel to the game known as 7". Then they'll realise they're all ****ing mental and reboot it as "Gears of War".

If you're gonna keep forcing multiplayer on us just so you can sell cosmetic items to vain people, this is what you get. Enjoy, EA.
