@phbz I've played Half-Life before. I'm 20 years old, and I had the chance to play the games. I really don't see what the big deal about them is. I've seen the same plot done better in other places, I don't think Gordon Freeman is an interesting character, and the gameplay was average at best. I do admit the level design and graphics were pretty good, but other than that, I can't get into the series at all. So yeah, I think it's overrated.
It's great that Valve is doing something like this, but I'm tired of people claiming Valve is the greatest game developer ever. As far as I'm concerned, they only made 2 great games: Team Fortress 2 and Portal. Everything else is just meh.
@G4m3r0uTL4wZ @mastermetal777 @silversix_ Well that's your opinion. The Last of Us is an amazing game. Not every game has to be an open world sandbox for it to be good.
@inscript the multiplayer already looks impressive and much different than Call of Duty or Battlefield. Not to mention that the art design is vastly superior than the gray and brown palettes used in the previous Killzone games. Everything looked seamless, the fidelity of the graphics was pretty solid, and the exploratory nature of each area will help this game sell well and get a ton of recognition over the more linear structure found in Call of Duty and Battlefield.
@Dannystaples14 From the looks of it, it already looks miles better than the previous Killzone games in terms of narrative. And the "generic" feel can probably be best summed up by the fact that the FPS formula hasn't changed all that much in recent years.
@leikeylosh No, if the community is acting aggressively, it's because they don't respect that an opinion is just that: an opinion. If someone doesn't think a game is almighty, that's fine. All you supposed "fans" need to realize that.
@akhorahill You do realize that all reviews are subjective, right? As in personal feelings are allowed? Nothing is ever objective when it comes to reviewing a product, especially when that product is a video game.
