I just spend over 1000 dollars on upgrading my home theatre surround system and I was wondering if the upgrade HDMI cable (40 dollars) would help me get significantly better sound than the standard a/v cables that are plugged into my HDTV and receiver. TV is only 720p/1080i, but my reciever and surround speakers are state of the art.

So, is the HDMI much better than the standard red/white cables? Can you get digital sound from standard red/white cables?

Please help!

Thanks,-Mark

Pretty lame if you ask me. After 2 years and they are still leaving out some of the best Xbox games ever made. What is with all of the sports games made b/c? Who cares about NBA 2k4 and ALLRIGHT DUDE, NOW FIFA 06 is B/C because I really wanted to go back to that since Fifa 07 was B/C.

Really, I've never even HEARD of most of these games.

Whatever happened to: Project Snowblind, Chronicles of Riddick, Deus Ex 2, am I leaving any out.

No seriously though, I'm reading all of this responses and YOU ALL seem to have g/f. Isn't that funny. I think most (not all) of you are a bunch of lying 'tards.

Portal was a very very addicting puzzle game in Half Life 2: The Orange Box. I actually played for about 2 hours and made it to the last puzzle (# 19) before I quit because it was getting late. It is really cool the way you begin to realize the puzzle/tests are the "Aliens" lab experiment onyou and by #19 you have to find a way out of the place.

BTW did anyone just LOVE that ending theme song for Portal where the robot voice was singing the lyrics. That song was actually really catchy and good.

Did anyone else blow through Portal with a breeze or was it too hard?

Silent Hill 4: The Room (backwards compatible Xbox game) kind of slow paced, but very scary phsychological horror game.

a game called E.V.O. for Super Nintendo. The boss at the end of that game was impossible, even with a game genie. Great game though.
