@ryan78134: Very true, I believe that is part of the game as for the first few chapters it is masked as a generic shooter but then later flips everything on its head. With excellent insight and commentary on military shooters, it really turns into a critique of what it was marketed as.

I don't see why there can't be games dedicated to storytelling such as Heavy Rain, but if that's the case the story better be worth telling and fantastic in execution. Not every game has to have a story and I find that the games that have the most interesting stories tend to be the ones that are told through simply playing them and observing the environment, e.g. Dark Souls, BioShock, Half Life
League of Legends probably or CS:GO
Personally love when modern games use 16-Bit graphics, it's just a style that I can't imagine looking aged. But yeah the limited lives are something that should be taken out of games almost entirely, can't really see the point of them.
Cool game, very re-playable. Hope they expand on it in the sequel.
-Mass Effect trilogy (the ME1 if I had to pick just one)
-BioShock
-Portal
Probs Spec Ops: The Line, people were pretty dismissive about it.
no order:
-Banjo Kazooie
-Banjo Tooie
-Donkey Kong Country
-Smash Bros. Melee
-Halo 3
-Mario Kart Double dash
-Fable
-Shenmue 2
-Kotor
-Sonic Adventure 2
Arkham Knight - and I haven't even played it yet
Metroid might be better than Dark Souls 2 but not the first Souls. Everything about it is just too good to match.
