@SaintLeonidas - Also, this type of bullshit happens in politics all the time. A representative or congressman endorses a company or product, or simply states how he is going to change things in Washington once elected; and ASKS YOU FOR A DONATION TO HIS OR HER CAMPAIGN. Later this politician is forced to resign because we later find out the company they endorsed went bankrupt, is corrupt, doesn't exist, or the congressman got caught posting shirtless pictures of himself online. (Yes, this did ACTUALLY happen). And in most cases, anyone that contributed money to his or her's campaign, will often demand their money back, and in some cases will get it back.
@SaintLeonidas - Your analogy is actually bad. The NFL does lend it's license to EA to make Madden, but 2 things: 1) The NFL would NOT give EA the rights to use it's name / teams / image etc if it thought for one second EA couldn't deliver a decent product. You're also comparing Winterkewl & one dude, with EA, which is simply stupid. 2) People get to play Madden. Every year. I can't even believe I have to provide this hypothetical argument because again, this is stupid, but trust me: If the NFL was DEMANDING money from it's fan base to give to EA to make a new Madden game / experience that was awesome and fun, and EA didn't deliver, you bet your ass the NFL would get a shit ton of heat, especially if they were heavily involved in the production, marketing, and creation of this said hypothetical game.
