@blobby-blobby @Ghostdog201 you got the cling ring right away pretty much (given that you actually went down the path to the gate) so it wasnt that bad, plus you wouldnt get invaded so it was a trade off. With dark souls 2 that type of mechanic is back, or similar to when you get cursed in dark souls 1. So basically fi you are hollow and you die, part of your max life will decrease until you go human again. i think it was about 10% decreases, and im sure it will be capped up to 50%. but this time around it will be more of a gradual decrease than before.

@brasilq8 tomorrow they will post a code on their fb page and twitter for you to download the beta, but its first come first serve and only 30,000 people will be able to get it. if you get the code and try to download it and it doesnt let you, its because all the spots are filled up already.

@Rodrigo_AA given its your first time just pick a class based off of what weapon they have, and what you normally like to play as in RPGs, overall your starting class wont matter since you decide what to level. so you could start off as a thief, and end up as a tank with a greatsword. So that inital choice is just for starters, but you can also build off of that, if you know where you want to go, since you will already have some stat points going towards your end goal. other than that, all i can recommend you do is be patient with the game, and be mindful of how enemies attack. And make sure to look at all the menus, since all the info is there, just that a lot of people overlook that. all stats are explained in the menus so just pay attention to that and the requirements for weapons. other than that you should be pretty set.
