9/10, 9 badges, Editor's Choice and almost a given for a GOTY nomination? Yet the masses will complain.

The low-brow humor and themes don't connect well with some reviewers? Shocking!

@brandoko @lowerclassbrat7 "...you pirate shit and are unethical" what? That's not a sentence. It's a fill-in-the-blank. You need to complete it in order to make sense.

@FalconOfStorms @nortonblocksolo He's chanting it as he's rocking back and forth, tied up, in a padded room. A bit of overreacting!

There's "supportive" and then there's... this. Re: Five stages of denial and he's just at the top.

@Stebsis Do you get your Ubisoft paycheck this Friday or next?

There's lauding, and then there's hilarious lists of talking points like what you wrote.

Side note-- The Crew doesn't have "whole of USA". It has roads that represent various areas across the US.

Their overall showing of games was good, though, of course. But it wasn't the Second Coming.

@reignman76 Who plays used games? People who can't afford (or have parents willing to spend) $60 at the drop of a hat for things they want to play.

@Melchior111 Several games looked awesome-- A shame almost all of them looked like they'll require always-on internet connections.

I can't see how this is anything but fantastic. More excuse to buy a Vita (at some point) that'll play my Vita and PS4 titles? Holy crap! This is the sort of "required" thing we should be asking for.

Considering the control scheme is almost the exact same on the PSV (sans the 'share' button) including a touch and swipe this seems like it would be relatively minor feature to add to games. No need to change any of the game mechanics or controls. Done.

Actually, wait. There's the matter of twin shoulder buttons. They could certainly use the rear touchpad as a replacement. They surely thought this out since they've (I'd have to assume) been planning this feature for years and years.

So much for claiming they cared about the Japanese market.

It was already obvious that they were going to under-support Japan, but region locking will prevent their [small] loyal user base that will buy the console regardless from importing and will be stuck with what I'd have to think will be a relatively small percentage of the software library that'll get regionalized.

They need to have something big up their sleeve yet. It's fine to focus on the US and UK where they outsold the PS3, but essentially ignoring that market would be unheard of.

This game is the least-sexualized JRPG I've ever played, and this long-running series in general is extremely well-behaved. The difference is mindblowing compared to the recent Neptunia mk2. Now THAT is a game based heavily on the idea of drawing in players via sex appeal. Playing them back-to-back has been, god, just hilarious to compare and contrast.

Characters in Meruru are all of normal body proportions. They've even aged across the 12-18 years this run of 3 games has taken place across.

The series is about being cute. It's very casual, lighthearted, and fits its artistic style. It's meant to appeal to a wide range of people and is pretty dummy-proof in that "losing" is impossible, yet for serious fans its offers difficult optional content and a lot of varied endings.

This review makes me ill. It's like... if you went to a NFL game and rated the experience as horrible because of a few big hits instead of actually talking about the game (which is what you're there for). You'd be laughed at and fired from a job of sports write-ups as you obviously do not understand what purpose is.

Basketball game? Sure, it went to triple overtime with 20 lead changes along the way, but god that student section was annoying. Basketball is awful!

Baseball game? Sure, it was 14 back-and-forth innings, but the beer vendor kept missing your section. Baseball is awful!

"I don't like it" or "I'm scared of it" as reasons in any professional writing is a well-established logical fallacy and not something people that actually get paid to write such things should be doing. Let someone actually passionate about that work do it.

I may hate shooters and heavy action games, but I would never rate say, a new COD or ME3 with a 5.0. Anyone can see that it has great presentation and incredibly high production value with in-depth gameplay. That a lot of care was put into making it. That it stacks up well and goes beyond similar games in-genre. That it excites the senses. That it accomplishes what it sets out to do. That it's a good value compared to the standard $60 single-player title good for 5-10 hours.

Though I completely agree with the main points of the article and feel society blows issues like this up to unnecessary mammoth sizes (hey, it's a game!), I also don't understand why the article has this title and what we're supposed to take away from it that's not related to the industry on the whole or really zooms in on DNF for any specific reason. The article is named "Duke Nukem Forever Isn't Sexist", followed by a mention of the likelihood the main protagonist is, followed by an admission that we don't really know yet about him or the game. Nice. This is a perfectly reasonable topic to discuss, regardless, but this is the sort of thing one should write -after- a game is released.
