Like others have stated, don't do it since you'll hurt your fellow coworkers. I work at a grocery store so obviously I don't have to deal with that crap on Black Friday but I've had days (Thanksgiving preparations, large groups coming in randomly, Christmas preparation, high school graduations, etc, etc) where people did call out sick on incredibly busy days that made it harder for all the coworkers. Perhaps they were legit, perhaps not, but if you're quitting because of that, be prepared for repercussions such as leaving the workplace on a bad note and being called "unreliable." There are numerous jobs that suck more than what you have, and no one wants to work on very busy days but someone has to do it.

Be smart about this: Work on Black Friday and then announce that you wish to quit. Leave on a good note.

While the knockout game is cowardly and reprehensible, I feel the crime itself has been exaggerated.

Also I don't agree with the concept of "hate crime." Yes those attackers may be racist but I don't think any person of any race should be charged with a hate crime since the crime itself is sufficient to charge and/or convict a person.

How can you exaggerate a crime, where a group of teens casually walk towards unsuspecting victims, and sucker-punch them in an attempt to KO them?

The fact that so many of these "games" are played by one race, targeting members of another race, shows that it's not random; The perpetrators actually believe that members of another race are deserving of these attacks.

Because it's not a major epidemic happening nationwide. There was a case similar to this in Great Britain but it's called "Bombing" and the attacker was white. Even then, there are crimes such as arson, theft, and domestic violence, as well as gang violence, rape, and assaults that happen everyday but this is far too recent and it's nothing new.

Like I stated earlier, the act itself is cowardly and reprehensible but it's not a major epidemic.

Did anyone actually read the encyclical or do they just quote the media who also hasn't read the encyclical? Having read the encyclical he's not opposed to capitalism nor the free market but rather says that our resources should be used to help the poor. Any form of government whether that be one founded on capitalistic principles or otherwise must be regulated in a way that ensures that the poor are not oppressed. Our focus should not be in the unlimited gain of our personal wealth but rather a recognition that ultimately that wealth does not belong to us, rather to God. As such we should share that wealth in an intelligent and charitable way. He isn't opposed to people being wealth or making money so long as, as a society, we help those who are less fortunate in an adequate way.

He's a goddamn commie atheist thats for sure. Jerry Falwell should be the pope.

I don't agree with him nor is it that simple but I respect him: He's pretty chill for a Pope, and he's definitely not hypocritical. If you didn't know, Popes are well off but the current Pope lives modestly.

I did say he was liberal on social issues, but I was mistaken. He's still conservative with a few liberal stances but that's expected for the Catholic Pope.

Family Guy sucks dildos.

But Brian was a likable character. Sad to seem him to die but worse, see how the episode just didn't give a damn about him.
