I want to get it, but might wait for a price drop; have barely had time to play the games I already own. Looks great though.

[QUOTE="Ace_WondersX"][QUOTE="hughami"] his lyrics arent deep and the actual beats are cliche. everyone i knew in school who liked him was a biggoted jock. not that im calling you a jock, just my personal experience. same with t-pain and lil jon and lil wayne etc.

hughami

There are three types of rappers: Rappers that are really good at writing rhymes, but don't talk about anything meaningful. Examples: Chamillionaire(actually he actually isn't materialistic anymore), Fabulous, Jay-Z Rapper that aren't really as good at writing as the other mcs, but talk about meaningful/deep stuff people can relate too. Examples: Immortal Technique, Styles P, and a couple other. Rappers that can do both Examples: Nas, Saigon, and more.

immortal technique has good beats AND really deep lyrics.

Immortal Technique = Bad flow. If he wasn't deep into the politics, people wouldn't give him much attention. I enjoy Tech from time to time, but seriously....

[QUOTE="Ace_WondersX"]

[QUOTE="MrPuffa777"]I recommend: East Coast: Gangstarr, KRS-One, Big Pun, D-Block/L.O.X, Maino, Hell Rell, Memphis Bleek West Coast + South: Alfamega, Sean P( of youngbloods), Trae the truth, Slim Thug, Z-Ro, Big Pokey, Lil Keke, UGK( Pimp C & Bun B), That's all i can think of from the top of my head. MrPuffa777

I co-sign everybody there except Alfamega.

Are you a fellow Houstonian?

Anyway check the sig, AZ, most underrated mc ever.

Nah, i'm from toronto, canada, im just a fan of the south. Alfamega has put up some good remix verses and singles, not quite mainstream which is what the TC is looking for. The East had the title back in the 80's, West got it in the 90's and 2000's are the South in my opinion. you have a lot to look forward to this year, Chamillionaire's venom, Slim thug boss of all bosses, i'm not 100 % sure but i think Big Pokey and Lil keke are also dropping albums this year. It should be a good year for the south :D

I'm from Toronto too - we gotta promote some of the homegrown talent - OP, go to HipHopCanada.com and cop some Drake, and Famous too.

Nino Bless - The Latin Marksman, it might be a bit different than what you're looking for, but there's some gems on this mixtape (and he's thrown it up as a free download, there's Joe Budden and others on the tape) like "Tribute to Bone Thugs"

Otherwise, K'Naan dropped his second recently and its a good one; Jean Grae is solid; Kidz in the Hall are smooth and lyrical; Cool Kids for more party/old school tracks; Shad; Black Milk's latest is really dope....

LOL this is bringing me back. I can't believe someone brought up Republica!

Some of these bands don't count technically as Britpop but were from the same era (some of them are from other parts of the UK) - my top bands - Pulp, Manic Street Preachers, Oasis, Supergrass, Stereophonics, Skunk Anansie, Elastica...

I don't think people can accurately comment on a country based on one film (the film itself is fantastic).

A new Def Jam would be amazing, but I hope it would be more like Fight for NY and less like Icon...

Worked straight through from the time I was 15 (I'm 24 now), through high school and university. I'm in law school now and not working for the first time because of the workload at school...but still do things like volunteer shifts at the legal clinic, and small contracts when I can.
