If anything the internet has become less hostile, everywhere you look you always have warnings "don't be toxic" or "don't say this or that". Even this website has a warning before you post now, the internet has become more policed than ever before. You'll always have people saying stupid things to rile up others, the only difference now is that everyone has a soapbox that can be difficult to avoid since we're all so much more connected than we were back in the 90's. Also, where exactly is all of this "nazi propaganda"? It sounds like it's something I should be encountering often yet I cannot remember the last time I came across any pro-white/anti-semitic sentiments in any mainstream websites. Unless the definition of what constitutes as "nazi propaganda" has shifted and has somehow become a bludgeon to beat over the head of ones opposition...but that would just be silly.

@Barighm: Look at this armchair dev. If you seriously think it's that easy (not to mention actually profitable) then you're really out of touch. The amount of effort and cost it would take to develop two branches of the same game just blows my mind. The game is a balance nightmare just as it is, could you imagine them going back and redoing everything to bring back class identity when they can't even get it right with how homogenized everything has become now? Not to mention mob density, raid mechanics, phasing, they'd have to redo dungeons to make them more than hallways, it goes on and on. If you think all it'd be is number tweaking then you couldn't be any more wrong. There is no way they could pull off another branch of wow that is more hardcore without serious investment of resources and very little return. It would be financial suicide.

Everyone that wants the old wow plays private servers, there is very little audience to appeal to in a much harder modern wow. Everyone still playing likes the skinner box it's become and all the hardcore boys from back in the day are either wageslaves with no time or playing on a private server running the same loop of leveling to 60, raiding, server shutdown/reroll, rinse, repeat.

The time of actual social mmo's with difficult content outside of dungeons is over. It's the time we live in, accept it, be glad you got to enjoy them in their prime. I say this as someone who feels the same as you do and I yearn for something similar but the genre as we've known it has died.

God who else just loves being an epic gamer in 2018? The current year is looking lit af my dudes! Loot boxes! Playing single player games offline is a feature! Politics!! Microtransactions!!! Awesome my guys simply awesome, it really is epic if I do say so myself. Is it not literally the best time in all of history to be a gamer??!

@Blk_Mage_Ctype: They're called red flags and they're most definitely not worth ignoring. If a man has anger issues and drinks? Red flag for women right there. If a woman doesn't want you even talking to other women? Red flag for guys. If they're covered in tattoos, have multiple children each from a different partner, or have an unnatural hair color (i.e blue) then I hope you're just in it for an easy lay cuz if not you blind af tbh.

@hrv_25: I never said it wasn't optional, I said WHO is this for, exactly? It just seems like a massive waste of resources just so some people can play with their 8 year old son on their tablet. Most people play to have fun and most people have fun when they win. A brain dead Kbm could beat a competent controller user any day of the week. There's more factors than just skill and kbm has an inherent advantage regardless of "skill". We can agree to disagree on that objective fact but at the end of the day anyone who joins a pc lobby is going to be dead weight if they aren't using kb+m.
@p1p3dream: I'm aware but you have to go through some hoops to get it to work on xbone which was the only redeeming thing about playing fortnite at all on it. Not to mention people will be using aimbots and all kinds of cancerous shit on pc, it's just not worth it by a country mile.

@hrv_25: Lmao who wants to be potentially the only controller user in a game with 99 mouse and keyboard users or god forbid a mobile player. Who is this change for, exactly? I know this game is super casual but don't most people *want* to win? Or at the very least get a kill now and again? If you have a controller using team mate or someone on their phone you might as well count them out right away. I'm no pc snob but it's just a fact of life that mouse+keyboard > controller > using a controller with your feet > using a controller with one hand while blindfolded >>>>>>> phone controls.
