There's also another alternatives if you don't want to wait days or weeks for repair time, you can repair the red ring of death problem yourself in under 40 minutes apparently. Same for E74 and a few others. Some websites have these tutorials that make it easy, they claim that even a 10-yr old could do it. Might be worth checking out.
