Hey buddy, just like the others said theres always a risk, but not just for the 360 for anything! Who knows maybe one out of every 10 thousand sony plasma screen TV's have a defect, and you may be the unlucky guy! Or maybe even a very small percentage of PS3's have defects or hardware failures, every ELECTRONIC has failures, whether its from the most trusted brand in the world!

Chances at the moment aren't very high that your 360 will have hardware failure, beause the recently updated onces (I think after August 2007) have a falcon chip or something installed, which makes it run smoother and so on.

Also, there are alot of ways to fix 360 problems, and you can easily return it for a new one even though you have to wait.

All in all, remember, keep your reciepts, boxes and so on, for at least a month, and preferrably 2-3 for ALL electronics, and always try your best to get extended warranties!

Umm, this topic is getting a little heated, but to awnser your questions chances are YES, and you should be extremley happy! By the way, there are alot of ideas and thoughts going on into how the 360 freezes up and how its linked to the power brick and so on, so you may want to take a look at that in the future.

Otherwise, to fully make sure your 360 has a falcon chip, they usualy have a special code or something on the 360's, or you can check the date, beause I believe any 360 manufacutring after August contained falcon chips!

Well, this kind of just swam into my mind, with the Wii doing very well, and the PS3 getting on track, the 360 really did have a pretty good year, and 2007 has been one the best gaming years in a while, what do you guys think about 2008? Will it be just a great as 2007? If not better? They already have two blockbuster releases GTA IV and MGS4 which both scored 10's early on, and with GOW 2 and some more nice games coming out I really think 2008 could surprass 2007 in terms of game sales and blockbuster games.

How do you predict the 360 sales and game sales will be?

In your opinion which system out of the 3 will be the standout winner of 2008?

I know what you all mean by saying a company "rips" off someone else, but the only way to develop or make new ideas and inventions is (in many cases) to borrow new ideas and elements to make a superior product or service.

This is all a part of business, I think the rivarily between Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft is doing wonders for the gaming industries, because of all the excellent games, and excellent game sales, companies are producing great games, and making good money, leaving customers (gamers) happy.

The only thing that worries me is the whole bunch of fanyboys and boycotts! I mean seriously people, grow up a little! There video game systems! There not your life! Sure, they are expensive, and you are dishing out a couple hundred bucks, and money for games, but DO some research before you buy a system, maybe test it out, see if you like it! And if you don't then deal with it! Dont go posting around forums because you hate it, or you regret buying it! Or you love Sony a lot more then Microsoft or vice versa.

This is big business, and it always will be...

Just some insight I wanted to share.

Thanks for the site, but however, can someone else just provide some of the "Main" details, so I konw what to expect or already sort of "make sure" I have! Because the worst case scenario is, 3 months from now my 360 fails, and I call thatnumber, and because I had no clue what to have kept, I lose it and can no longer replace my 360!

Thanks however for the reply!

Okay, I bought a 360 for Christmas on Boxing Day, and I haven't played it very much at all, because of school, now thats its summer I am going to kick back and relax.

Anyway, I am just wondering, suppose there is a system failure on my 360 which is more then likely to possibly happend, what are the steps and procedures to send it in? What do I need to pack? What do I need to send? Where do need to send it? Specific awnsers please.

Thanks for all your generosity.

Sorry for misspelled words.

I have a fat PSP, from launch, and I am looking for a case that I can put on it, (I dont care whatever the material is), so when I play the screen and my psp dont get fingerprints or scratches... It'd really handy. Does anyone know where I can get one? I live in Vancouver Canada? Does anyone know if they sell them at Bestbuy, Toys R Us, Futureshop???, orany other local stores

This may be a noobie question, but I've only had my 360 for about 2 weeks. How exactly do you hook up your 360 and your pc together, so I can transfer some music and movie files onto my 360? Is there a wire I need? Can someone give me the step to step procedures it would be much appreciated.

Thanks
