For the love of God don't buy SOCOM - I am yet to get into a game - 40 minutes of downloads to date.

It will lead to greater depression.

Network downloads, patches, etc......still yet to play a game.

I had to give up after 40 minutes and go back to Rock Band 2.

Is it my PS3/Connection? Or are the downloads that numerous and big.

Or should I return this game?

It was working for me last night until about 9:30 MST.

I was playing COD4 with a bunch of guys on the east coast - our room crashed and none of them were able to get back on-line after the crash - either that or everyone of them went to bed.

I live in Canada and mine worked fine the rest of the night - just not alot of my friends list were able to get on.

Usualy I have 15 or 20 friends on-line at night, mainly east coast people - last night only 2......so I think alot of people had the same problem.

After my second RROD, I bought an elite last year as I thought they would have the problem solved....

Almost exactly one year later and RROD.....just got my third (3rd!!!) coffin in the mail.

No 360 is immune......heat sinks my ass.

once you plug in the new tv, turn on the ps3 and go to display setting.

it should ask what you want to use for max/default resolution and also what kind of cord you are using (component/hdmi)

that should be it....

thats what I thought it was....

but the way they were talking about it I thought it meant something else in computer/geek terms.

i had to change my wireless router to a shared WEP before my DS would work.

I think the past few dayson LIVE were a writeoff for everyone due to all the new users.

Probably has nothing to do with the change you made to your router - give it a day or 2 and check again.
