@commander: The scale is about how good a game is. Not how new the IP is. The first Far Cry was good for its time. This one is good for its time. And maybe the best one yet. It is in my opinion.

Using the fact "it ain't the first one" as a reason for it to have a lower score is silly.

Question: Why is the fact that there is no mini map one of the best things to happen to the series?

I am playing a game, and it is definitely not about realism.

@lodoss900: Personally, I tried to replay 4 a couple days back. It kept freezing up (crashing). And I generally never have that problem with other games. The radio stations (especially the DJ) in 4 are pretty bad, and the drive mechanics are worse. To name a few things.

Primal, is still pretty fun for me though.

@xcael: Do you work for EA? Yea, I know they lost money. Because their greed was exposed, and it came back to kick them in the nuts. Are you up to date on why this launch failed?

Companies should make profit, but not like this.

@xcael: You said "they are also changing the progression system." Maybe. But I can only judge what they have now. Not what they might have in the future. Not only is the progression messed up, but it's broken too. I racked up enough kills to unlock the second mod for the CR-2, but it won't unlock. Broken.

@Geogyf: I appreciate what you said. I had the 2 original Battlefronts, and liked them. I had KOTOR too. I think I had KOTOR 2 as well. I like action over RPG though.

I was kicking around getting Battlefront 2 on Steam, for nostalgia's sake.

@xcael: You can usually find Galactic Conquest games, but those are pretty lame. Just running and dying, with a little action in between. More frustrating then fun. But the smaller (better IMO) games, like Blast or Strike, are almost dead, and even Starfighter Assault is iffy.

Bottom line is, the game is not worth putting more money into. It simply isn't that fun. It looks awesome, but the gameplay...meh.
