I felt Bad Company 2's friendly AI was really good I some times like a little help from my NPC well even though that was good but I love Bioware's AI in Mass Effect 1 and the emprovements they made for Mass Effect 2. So with that said I do like a strong AI in my games for a good challenge but thats me.
