Cant speak for everyone, but as someone with a nintendo console im very glad capcom is doing well with the Monster Hunter franchise more than anything else. I would obviously want to play it in my platform ( eventhough i have a gaming PC ) but in all i will always be rooting for the franchise in general, especially after many financial issues regarding Capcom, almost going bankrupt a couple of years ago.

I think many people were sceptic for very obvious reasons, when the change of platform for Monster Hunter happened, but not all for egoistic reasons necessarily. Monster Hunter is a very japanase type of game with high difficulty spikes and challenging gameplay. It is not your yearly Activision shooter or Ubisoft open world game, which are often very set up as entry level friendly for people who have perhaps never played a game before. For these reasons alone many were worried that the game would not sell as well to a western audience which knew very little of the game.

But luckily Monster Hunter was very well recieved and im very glad for Capcom, i love Capcom as a company, the wonderful games and the memories i have from playing their games, they are one of my absolute favorite developers i been playing all their games since i was a little kid, from Mega Man, little Nemo, Demon Crest, Breath of fire, etc.
