Game consoles are also globalized. Have you been to Japan. You can hear various American music at stores, cafes, clubs, etc. Like I said before. Japanese and Europeans have a more rounded game genre. Xbox is primarily hardcore gamers and thats how its advertised.

Thats not true. Explain baseball, mcdonalds, starbucks, etc in Japan. Japanese like those weird, random colors games. Xbox is centered around Halo and hardcore gamers.Wii is the most general video game system which is why it sells everywhere and there isn't anywhere you can't find it.It beat out ps4 and xbox 360 in total sales. Female gamers, occasional gamers, etc all have Wiis. Playstation is the second most general games system. You bring up xbox 360 and most will point to Halo,COD,etc and its for hardcore games which is how xbox has advertised from the start. Can you even think of any platformers on xbox off your head?Of course not. So unless microsoft concentrate more on games across various genres instead of trying to dominate home entertainment they will fall behind in most markets.

Microsoft will be lucky if this piece of junk sales in US. Just what I need another DVR/cablebox. Who has room for that giant piece of crap? And then you hear about all the horrible features its going to have.I thought I was watching a cable company commercial instead of a n xbox reveal. Having to sign in every 24 hours, used game codes, always on kinect. And you think Japanese much less Americans want all this crap. People already have dozens of devices in their homes doing this and we don't need another.

Hooray. Now you get to pay a fee to get online, another fee for games, another fee for used games. Next Microsoft will charge you a fee for touching the controller. See this is what happens when people started defending Microsoft practices of charging for xbox live. Now they think they can do anything.

LOL! Are they serious? Trying to make someone pay more money for used games. There is just no limit to how greedy these companies have become. Bad enough with Sony's PS vita not being backwards compatible. I'm not buying a system that won't allow me to play used games without a fee. I will just pass and get a ps4.

They should have took into account the recession and limited game budgets.

Its better just to use an external harddrive. I just copy movies to my external usb harddrive and then connect it to xbox 360. It has to be in fat32 format. It doesn't work with ntfs.
