Strange for them to show off the game so early. I can only guess that Sony needed to push someone out of their E3 conference for time, and maybe decided, "Hey, how about we get you a Game Informer cover instead?" to appease them.

I'd say this looks pretty good. I mean, it's hard to criticize stuff like AI or certain animations or whatever because... I mean, it's a year off. That's like complaining that there's no salsa in your Chipotle burrito that the person behind the counter hasn't stopped making yet.

So we'll see.

Overall, looks kinda Ubi-ish. But the world is interesting.

I don't think Microsoft is just the worst publisher of the console manufacturers... I think they might be the worst AAA publisher in all of gaming right now. I mean, the only company that would be competitive there would obviously be EA... but hell, at least Madden and FIFA keep their fanbases happy every year.

I've really gotta ask - at what point do Xbox fans start holding Shannon Loftis accountable?

Is it never? Even sports fans call for the GM to get the axe if they're doing a poor job. But Xbox fans are so blinded by fanboyism...

I actually do think, outside of Internet arguments, power matters more than exclusives as - by all accounts - the best-selling games on either platform are multiplats.

It depends on the kind of gamer you are, I guess. If you're a JRPG fan, for example, PS4 is obviously the smarter choice.

Also: OG Xbox, and the early days of the 360, were only partially about power, but largely about Halo and later Gears. So exclusives still matter.

Witcher 3 is on Xbox One, your argument is invalid.

Sidewalks and Skeletons. Their "Forever" was used in a trailer for Ruiner. Is love to see a while game filled with their music.

Dance With The Dead would be my second choice.

What's more likely to happen is that the indies will innovate, and then next year, the big publishers will reveal polished, shiny rip-offs of those games with $150 collector's editions that don't even include the base game.

Like, we all know that the big publishers will reveal like 3 PUBG rip-offs at E3 next year. God knows Ubisoft will jump on that and slap the Tom Clancy logo on it.

Larger expansions are doing quite well this generation. There's Uncharted LL and this month, the Dishonored expansion (also stand-alone)

Then, of course, in not-stand-alone, there's the big XCOM expansion, and the almighty Witcher 3 expansions.

Horizon's got one coming that may or may not be pretty beefy.

I'm all for this trend. I don't want some crap Ubisoft DLC a month after launch with 3 extra missions. Wait 9-12 months and give us a reason expansion.

Like the old days.

Because they've seen the online gaming community obsess over it for the last 4 years.
