I once read Jeff say something along the lines of, your best ideas come to you when you let your mind wander. If he should happen to come up with not only a marketable idea, but a truly priceless one when he just happens to be playing with ideas or staring at the wall or whatever, then all the power to him.
And regardless of whatever productive value the position provides, as he already has enough money, I think it could provide for the opportunity for a lot of creativity, and therefore have intrinsic and therapeutic value for Jeff as a person.
Oh gee, what a surprise that another branch of the media is against Trump. Yeah, I know what's going through your minds: 'Hmmm, we need some way, any way, to turn yet another demographic against Trump when voting in the next elections. He'll lose all these votes just so young adults can save a few bucks on their next console.'
@videogameninja: I wouldn't be too concerned. First of all, 4X more powerful than Xbox One X may not sound all that great, but remember, it came out only 2 years ago. Now considering that the Xbox One X was itself about 4 times more powerful than the original Xbox One, that means we are looking at an improvement of like 16 to 18 times from 2013, which sounds alright to me. Not only is 4k likely to be standard, but there will be other improvements to the fidelity, which the developers would have been unlikely to take, on a non standard console like the X, including ray tracing.
Now if Halo didn't look jaw dropping, don't worry about that either. I don't know if you remembered the PS4 console reveal, but that was also quite underwhelming. The developers just need a chance to work with the hardware for a few years. Just look at the difference in quality from PS4 in 2013, to today. I'm sure by the mid 2020's the games will look amazing. You just need to be a little patient and I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
Just a guess, but maybe he lived the typical lifestyle of a Hollywood actor, filled with drugs and promiscuity? If true, I am not going to judge on moral grounds, however, looking at his picture, he does seem to have aged rather poorly, and living that way can take it's toll on the body over the years and decades.
@syncroniam: I hate when people embellish or lie, just to try and prove a point. DOA will have more than 18, more like over 25, https://teamninja-studio.com/doa6/us/characters.html, and MK will likely have 30 characters + another 10 DLC. You wait for the Komplete package, and for a reasonable price, you get your 40 characters.
@paulmorr12: People always have to complain. People wanted Warcraft 3, so they give us Warcraft 3. Now you want Warcraft 2 ... Oh, btw, I think this will be significantly better than the vanilla version. Gamespot actually got it wrong, it's not just a remaster; Blizzard themselves is calling it a remake. If you havn't noticed, a lot of the graphics have been redrawn and upgraded, it will be optimized to run on modern Windows computers, and you will be able to scale the resolution all the way to 4k.
These types of showcases masquerade as being casual, but are really cold and calculated tactics used by the gaming industry to subtly wet our appetites for a sequel. Therefore, you can bet that Mortal Kombat XI is coming. If I was to put my money on it, Netherrealm paid for this little promotion of the game, and there will be subsequent ones, with increasing frequency, until there is an official reveal.
@ropumar: How can you be sure that the PS5 will be backwards compatible? Either way, the argument made that it won't play PS4 games because it is much more powerful is a bad one, because the difference between the PS5 and PS4 will likely just be a quantitative one, rather than one that is qualitatively much different.
