AAGHHH!?!? This is becoming a headache, I love my Xbox360 but so much controversy about the new system has me leaning more and more to the PS4. I was impressed by Sony's reveal show, it seemed much more focussed on us core gamers whereas the Xbox One came across as a family entertainment unit? They both look great and whichever one I end up going for I will be waiting a while after release incase they need to worm out any bugs (red ring of death...shudder!). Basically I'm asking for any, hopefully non-biased advice on a more well suited system, the new features of the Xbox One looked fantastic but I own a console for games and want a machine that is more geared to making that experience as awesome as possible, and tips people?
Greetings all, ok so I'm rather a hardcore Xbox360 kinda guy right now but I'm finding myself more and more leaning towards the PS4 (numerous reasons that i'm sure a lot of us are aware of)! I've been checking out loads of reveal vids online but I'm finding it hard to locate the official reveal video? Any chance any of you here can throw a link down would be awesome! Thanks heaps!!
@CruiserCaptain Agreed! Xcom:EU is fantastic, my only complaint is that it ended haha! Hoping this new 'Enemy Within' is awesome, kinda got me confused though? Is it DLC or can I buy this new version with new Achievements and so on?
Jeez??? I played the demo last night and thought I would have a right good time sitting on the sofa with a mate and hammering through this. The graphics and the sound seemed great and the gameplay felt solid and good fun.
To those of you that have the whole game, can you let me know what Kevin is really saying? I played the first title in the series and had a blast! Not played the second so if anyone can offer an opinion it'd be much appreciated.
Wow, a whole heap of interesting comments here! I'll be honest I never even gave it a second though until I read some of all your thoughts and I must say, kinda concerned.
So ok it is only an entertainment machine but as far as I'm concerned, it's the principle of it that matters, having a camera and Mic in my living rooms, always online and operating 24/7 does not sound appealing, for me the entire point of a locked door is so I can enjoy some privacy and relax in my own home without fear of being spied on, surely if this Camera is operating all the time even when we command the system to switch off MS could potentially be bordering on some serious privacy breach laws? I don't pretend to know what they are but as some others here have stated, it does seem very odd that the XboxOne needs to have the Kinect attached to operate?! Why can't I use my controller if I want to? Sure from all the videos so far the XB1 looks great and comes across as a very impressive piece of hardware, I'm all for checking out the next generation, but I also would like the chance to control what that generation does in the confines of my own home.
As said above, the XB1 will include details about how to mange the system settings to adjust the privacy to your own liking but surely MS would tell us these options now as this issue is becoming a very serious concern for many of us?
I really enjoy my Video games and am very interested in this next line up of systems, but I wonder just how honest these huge companies really are? I'm sure there is nothing in this and that it is simply a device designed for our ease of use (blissfully ignorant of me perhaps?) but if so, it's comments like "we will release the details later" that cast a shadow over any integrity they may have, if there is nothing to hide then why not just explain the whole package??????
Fantastic news to have some comments from the Dev Team at last, and a huge sigh of relief that they will be sticking to their guns and keeping the difficulty element high (as it should be!).
I have now fallen into the trap of constantly opening this page and looking at the in-game images over and over again haha. U think it's a great thing when you enjoy a title so much that you simply cannot wait for more! Sure the first DS absolutely punished me beyond belief but after 300+ hours I'm still going back for more and more play throughs, without a doubt amongst the best game I have ever had the pleasure of playing and to know that another is looming round the next corner really is awesome news!
