You're going to at least want a dedicated GPU for gaming, generally. That laptop will run the game very poorly or not at all. Here's a cheap rig you can buy that'll run GW2 at high settings and doesn't take a huge chunk out of your wallet: http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Mega_Special_III/

It'll run the game fine. If you haven't bought a card already, though, I think the 560 ti is probably a little better value because you're going to run into problems running games like Battlefield 3 on high settings with anything less.

The CPU might actually run into issues, depending on how well the game is optimized at launch. I lag in WvW with a Phenom II x4 :( But yeah, this game's going to rock. I bought a $100 secondary HDD just so I can record lossless FRAPS footage for Youtube :-)

Yes, you will be able to play GW2 fine with that set-up. Personally, I'd pick up something like a Geforce 560 ti over a Radeon 6870 because it benchmarks higher, and because you typically run into less issues with Nvidia drivers than with Radeon drivers. That's a change you can easily make, since GPUs are so damn interchangeable. Be careful with changing up the CPU though - you need to make sure your motherboard is compatible with your CPU first.

I'm also anti-social, especially with online strangers. GW2 is being marketed as a game where grouping is very natural and encouraged, which isn't necessarily a good thing for me.

However, the overall design/gameplay is really good. The game plays a lot better than most MMOs. I'd recommend it because of this alone.

If you really have an aversion to interacting with people, you can X out the chat window and turn off chat bubbles, and just treat the player characters like friendly NPCs.

The great part about GW2 is that the questing is completely seamless, so you can partake in group content without having to talk to or interact with anyone. Everything is soloable except the explorable dungeons.

The problem is that if you did fix the Geth, there would be nothing to prevent the Geth from surpassing and destroying their creators yet again. That's the whole reason why the Catalyst suggests synthesis. It causes organics to reach a technological apex while causing synthetics to understand organics. The cause of conflict between synthetics and their masters is always because these factors aren't achieved. So actually, the destroy ending is really, really grim. It implies that the Reapers will come about again, or that all life in the galaxy will eventually be annihilated.

Oh, I didn't notice that the OP's post was from before the EC was released. So yeah, the EC totally answered all the OP's concerns about the ending. Success.

1. It's heavily, heavily, heavily implied that the Catalyst is telling the truth. Since the synthetic ending awards the galaxy everything the Catalyst promised. 2. This is more a philosophical issue than anything. That same sort of skepticism can be applied to just about anything that most fantasy fictions assume as true. I'd suggest taking the Catalyst's omnipotence at face value. 3. The Catalyst is an AI. Pure synthetic. So are the Reapers, who are entirely synthetic but preserve the technology and cultures of past civilizations. This is explained in one of the dialogue choices. 4. It implants all organics and synthetics with a synthetic DNA that allows everyone to access unlimited information about everything in the universe. It basically turns everyone into Dr. Faustus, minus the pact with the devil. Imagine your brain is hooked up to the Internet. Yeah. Also, yeah, the destroy option also destroys the geth. It does suck to kill the geth. That's why the destroy option is a flawed option, and you SHOULD feel lousy about it. Nothing wrong about that.

At least you experienced the sad endings before the good ending. I had to watch the sad endings after completing the best ending. Now I'm super depressed :-(
