@returnofthebrotha: This is an extremely ignorant comment. The original character is a lesbian. Hollywood isn't forcing you to watch anything, they're trying to tell new stories. Gay people haven't been able to express themselves for fear of discrimination and ridicule so it's time they got a spotlight. Whether you like it or not is irrelevant because it is deserved at this point. Your question regarding "why have gay heroes anyway" is also very ignorant. Are straight heroes going to do straight things when they fight crimes? Like what are you even saying here?
The main thing I'm saying is; No one is forcing you to watch anything "gay." And being gay is normal. A show dominated by straight people is not forcing straightness down gay people's throats so how can the opposite be true?

If you're going to criticize something just because it's "gay" then you're homophobic. Plain and simple. There are plenty of writing issues with this show that you could talk about rather than slander it for its inclusion of LGBTQ relationships. Thank you and please take a look at yourself and try to discover the root cause of this bias you have toward gay people. Don't let your upbringing determine who you are.
