@wavelength121 @jimrhurst Perhaps you should look up the definition of the word "value" before you start calling people stupid names. I never said the price had anything to do with the quality. I didn't even say that she should change the score. I just said that as a service to the community, if you are going to go around lavishing praise on something, please be clear about the VALUE. Its 2 hours of high quality entertainment. If that's your thing then lay down your money and no regrets. But I for one am not real keen to pay much for a 2 hour gaming experience.

I won't take as extreme a bent as some of the other commenters here, but I do have to cry foul just a bit. The fundamental $10 per hour of entertainment price point is not really reasonable in this industry. I took all the heaps of praise for Journey and decided to try it. It was OK, but it was over in an instant. I really felt cheated.

If you think a game is amazing and its only 90 minutes long, then please, please just admit that in the review. At least let us know what we're agreeing to before we go to check these things out. If we are supposed to take the review seriously then presenting a fully accurate presentation is sort of obligatory. If we aren't supposed to take it seriously, then why write the review?

@Kevin-V @weedman1985 @RPGEndBoss Hmm. I think I back Kevin's play. If you look at those big numbers posted to Kickstarter, they are mostly for bigtime nostalgia projects. Its a niche market, but clearly a passionate one. Some portion of the GameSpot community falls into that camp, I'm sure. I read the article. You read the article. Lots of people here in the comments read it. Thus, worth posting, even if it gets 1/10th of the hits of the latest skyrim mods piece.

I'm glad Volition is finally getting at least a little tiny spotlight. I for one am a big fan of developer diary videos where you can see the real people who make the games we enjoy.

@Drizzt_79 @jimrhurst Given the number of "likes", we must not be alone.

I'm still cautiously optimistic they'll make something out of this. I think they got a lot of pretty consistent feedback on DA2. A number of systems I thought were really improved, but the incredibly short development time forced so many ugly shortcuts. Hopefully they'll turn this one around. Multiple player races and returning armor customization seem like small but positive signs to me.

@neroist @vaibhavp I wish they had done it better because I think that would have been a nice departure. Liked the concept, can't applaud the execution, plot-wise.

Hmm. Nice thought-provoking piece, Danny. I try not to _start_ playing games I don't enjoy. But I can get obsessive or completionist about games long after I stopped enjoying them. "Here's this new game that came out that I really want to play. I could stop playing this filler game I bought in between, but I'm 70% through it. I can't quit now!"

Weirdly, sometimes my lack of enjoyment of a game will reduce my overall gaming time, even though there are other games out that I would enjoy playing. I won't buy them or start playing them til I've completed 100% of the game I have, and since I'm not enjoying it I draw it out, stalling and avoiding playing it. Its kind of F-ed up. Maybe I should be more aware of that and knock it off....

Jess' huge doe eyes would allow for some fairly effective cosplay for Elizabeth... Never thought of that before this vid. The accent would give her away though. :)

Oh, and I'll reluctantly concede to the console makers stealing some of my personal info if it lets them pair me up with more mature, reflexively challenged multiplayer opponents.

@stan_boyd @DaRq_MiNoS As long as they are baggy turtlenecks with amusing gaming references on them, I'm down. I wonder if companies send her the gamer shirts for free. They should.
