Yes, Jess, Dead Rising 3 is a damn good game period! Very surprised by how much fun that one was. I played "Second Son" though once and don't expect to go back. I exchanged Titanfall after a few weeks. I have played through Dead Rising 3 three times and expect to get back to it again at some point.
I agree about the potential. It's been wins (XBox One Fitness, try the kick boxing workout after a long day dealing with people at work!) and losses (Sports Rivals). And while I don't agree with Danny about the interface, I don't use voice to move around in it much. Though I think any piece of modern tech should come with a camera/mic baked-in MS pretty much had to make this decision as Sony dropping their camera on launch to make a lower price point has cost MS too much in sales.
Now there is less reason for designers to make that great, hoped for, Kinect game but there would be zero reason if X1 keeps getting out sold by PS4.
I'm not worried about the 8, less than that might be something to look into it. Tomb Raider got an 8 and I liked it more than Uncharted 3 which got a 10 on Gamespot when it came out (they seem to have dropped it to 9 now, humm....).

Really Danny? I have been loving Forza and Dead Rising 3. But I still say if you are a budget driven gamer get, or keep, your 360 or PS3 and snap up the great low priced titles. Wait at least a year to pick up a new gen console. And the cost of the console is just the start. Getting games "day one" is pricey. It's $130 to get all the bells and whistles for Forza and $90 to do that with DR3. Down the road will be sales, discounts and "game of the year" editions and those are a sweet way to buy.
Nice to hear Forza comments from an experienced racer. I agree the match up was poor but it would have been lopsided the other way if they picked a good Forza player. It would have been too big of an advantage knowing how to joystick a car.
Agreed that voice rec. is not quite ready for prime time on X1. My success rate is close to 100 percent but I do have to be clear, as in giving a command to a device instead of just being conversational. That being said the voice recognition is way behind Google Voice. I think the problem here is that MS just wants it to work without having to have training steps. If the console showed what it thought it heard and let you fix it, things would get much better.
MS should consider a free speech learning game that made it fun to provide this "tuning".
Enjoyable. Nice to watch gamers from other walks talk and play games. The key is to find people who are into games and not just into cross-promotion. These football players seemed to be actualy into games so it worked. Chobot is always a joy as a host.
I finally picked up DR3. It's a blast so far. Even a Zombie outbreak can't spoil another sunny day in L.A... provided you have the tools for the job!
I have seen enough of these now to decide that platform doesn't matter for big ticket games. The companies seem to want to have them look the same for money reasons (cuz there is no way a PC should look even in comparison to a console EVER!). I guess I'm back to the X1 for cross platform games. I am looking forward to seeing if a Sony exclusive can really make the PS4 sing.
I am encouraged by some of the PC gamer comments that this wasn't a good PC being used for the test. When I get around to dropping major cash on my gaming rig I hope to see something a lot better than this.
@Kristmonkey Agreed, one console winning and forcing the other out would be a worst case scenario. We got a better PS4 O.S. (I hope) and joystick because Sony saw the need to compete.
