If they were going to do something special for Christmas, they'd do next Monday. Think of all the Wiis under the Christmas tree right now.

Not that I expect them to do anything.

Still waiting for Y's for Turbo CD.

Putting the bug/hacking thing aside for a moment, isn't there a game action relay type device for the wii now, one that uses those "super saves" that are impossible to get by playing that game naturally? Could one of those be used online, or do you get kicked off for using one of those?

You know, pre-release, everybody was complaining about the "inability" to use the face buttons on the wii-mote while using the Wii Zapper. I don't have that problem at all. I find it more comfortable, even, to keep my thumb on top of the wii-remote instead of behind the handle. I can play the old Medal of Honor and Resident Evil 4 just fine (obviously, I'm not using the independent motion sensor actions, but I never cared for them in Medal of Honor, anyway). I think it's a shame that most developers will like build a control scheme without the face buttons. Also, I don't get why it would be so hard to circumvent the use of the loose B-button as a trigger by allowing the player to configure the trigger button to Z. Most guns fire from a trigger in that position anyway. I haven't tried RE: UC or Ghost Squad, so i don't know if the buttons can be configured, but that fact that we can't do something that simple on so many Wii games just drives me crazy.

New system, at least. Gives me hope for the TG-CD version of Ys 1 & 2.

Within the last couple weeks, the GameStops that I go to stopped carrying new GBA games. Sucks, but it's true. I can't imagine whyNintendo would get rid of the extraslot on the DS, though. Are they addingrumble to the system itself (let's face it, the rumble pack was weak)? Are they giving up on the idea of expansion packs? And what about the gameslike Advance Wars that givesbonus content when a GBA game is inserted into the slot? I'm already a little peeved that it doesn't support classic GB and GBC games (no Link's Awakening for Final Fantasy LegendsforDS, ever). Theonly way I'd get a new DS without a GBA slot is if they increased the internalmemory into the gigabytes for the DS Download Channel that's supposedlycoming out and offered downloadable GB and GBC games, and even then I'd still probably keep my old one.

Reggie said we got it already when interviewed by that same Spike reporter. Can't remember what it was--soemthing disappointing, likethe update or something, though I think it was just spin to cover up the fact that he couldn't make good on his promise. In that first interview, he'd also promised that Nintendo's date for SSBB was set in stone.

Zack and wiki isn't really an RPG--It's a kind of puzzle game. Good game though.

Looking forward to Fragile. All those games suggested are fine (I liked TOS, but the voice acting was terrible except for the boy who plays Robin from Teen Titans), but I'd like to see something more hardcore, likea new Master of Monsters, Phantasy Star (online or otherwise) or Shining Force (turn-based strategy only) for Wii. Or a Wii-make of Golden Sun. I'd even go for a new remake of the first couple Lunar games (the last one being for the GBA), though it's hard to want to push for one in a world without Working Designs. They weren't the most accurate translators, but they sure made the games fun and had great packaging. And we need a multiplayer action-rpg like Baldur's Game: Dark Alliance to wash the stench of Alien Syndrome from the system, preferably with Wi-Fi support.

I made the mistake of starting out on Normal, since I've played every other Fire Emblem game in America. Other than the first stage, I have had to restart at least two times per stage--usually just because of losing a single character (which I refuse to allow) or I stayed in an area too long, trying to get all the treasure chests. I did actually losea battle a couple times because Micaiah or one of the other necessary characters died. It can be pretty frustrating at times. I lost one character because I made the mistake of attacking the final enemy first without being able to kill him that turn, which meant that he got two hits on my previously uninjured character (the retaliation to my attack and his own attack against my character). So I had to restart the whole battle just so I wouldn't lose him. Times like that I wish it were more like Shining Force, where you can revive characters for increasing amounts of money. For that matter, I'd kill for the chance to explore the towns, instead of doing it in battle--you'd be surprised how much more involving the characters become when you can walk them around and talk to them (the Shining force GBA game was terrific at that).

Still, I love a good strategy game, and this'll do until they (hopefully)release WarSong, Shining Force 2, Shining Force CD, and Master of Monsters on the Virtual Console.

I think they got spun off, like they'resupposedly going to do withBungee (Bungee, for god's sake). Case in point: Viva Pinata is coming to DS, or so I've heard (not entirely proof, I suppose, since Microsoft doesn't have a handheld system and therefore isn't competing against it).

Waiting for the (possible release of the) Sega CDversion of Out of the This World and Flashback. Also, wasn't there a Killer Instinct for the N64?

Still waiting for more games from Square and Enix (I imagine after the GBA's funeral and time of mourning, they might release the Final Fantasy games, though from the looks of it, they're redoing 4 like they did 3 for the DS, so maybe they'll redo the rest for the DS (I'd love that for Final Fantasy 6). Secret of Mana is a no-brainer, as is ChronoTrigger, but people keep saying that because the staff who made those games no longer work for Square, that they can't be released. Not sure if that's true or not.

I would like to see Nintendo release their arcade games to VC. There's never been a true version of Donkey Kong on home systems that I'm aware of, and I'd love to play Vs. Duck Hunt to see if I can really shoot that annoying dog. Maybe those would work better on the DS though.
